Decent sound from a DIY soldering project.
It’s not a massive speaker so the sound volume is lower then what you would get from something bigger. However the sound quality is good for a small little DIY project.

Good product
This is coming from someone who already knows how to solder and knows what components are what and knows how to read a circuit diagram. I took a lot of pictures for y’all.Instructions are good enough for me, those who are new might need to pay a little more attention. For example while they show which side is negative on a capacitor, you might not recognize that. The only part of the instructions that wasn’t good enough for me was putting the casing together, the pictures are so small but I figured it all out. It was a pain to keep all the pieces together in the process. There’s a QR code to pull up instructions on your phone i guess, hopefully those are good, probably easier to read some parts since you can zoom in and have better quality pictures.Little tip for soldering the bluetooth module. I used some legs from the resistors to help me line it up with the holes while soldering. Also when putting the case together one of the white pillars gets real close to it/touches so you can solder it alittle more inwards instead of having to line the wholes up perfectly. The IC’s are smaller than anything I’ve soldered. I recommend CHANGING YOUR SOLDER TIP to a small pointy one when soldering those. Also what i did was put some solder on the corner one, get the ic in place and solder it into that corner/position. Then go to the other side and start soldering other pins.Thankfully I didn’t burn up the IC with how long i was trying to fix that issue even with a solder braid/solder suckers. This is the trickiest part. Do the IC’s correctly (this also shows orientation on instructions as well, match the dot/circle)The holes for the caps/the caps legs themselves are really close for some and is easy to accidentally bridge which can cause a pain as well.I didn’t change tips so as a result i bridge solder of each others pins and i struggled to remove enough for it to not short out for awhile and it was a struggle. Luckily pins 2+3 go to a cap and then to ground anyway so i let those stay bridged to each other but i got all the others separated. The PCB is good quality, takes awhile to burn off/lift pads.Takes micro usb, outdated at this point.Granted so is having a headphone on your phone to plug into but that’s why it has bluetooth. The speakers seem to be 4 ohm 3 watts, its hard to read like its rubbed off.Mild improvement over modern phone speakers. Don’t get this for sound quality, get this for fun/project/practice.Overall good product, and I hope my tips help.

Fun radio build
I thoroughly enjoyed building this project and was pleasantly surprised by the impressive sound quality. The kit was a lot of fun to assemble, with very clear and easy-to-follow instructions. While some parts are small, everything is well-labeled. The overall quality of the product is excellent, and I had more than enough components to build a fully functional radio. My phone easily detected the Bluetooth device, and I now use it for almost 6 hours a day to listen to music in my office. If youâre looking for a build-your-own device, this one is both enjoyable and quick to complete
