Great Value and Product
Works great but you need to run the cleaning wire through the desoldering tube about every 10 minutes in order to keep the vacuum tube open. If it clogs, there is no problem to disassemble and clean this sucker. Really pleased, comes with spare parts too and you can purchase tips on Amazon.

Keep having issues….
2024 Update: been using this for the past year plus and dealing with the quick clogging. was removing a through hole IC yesterday and the base changed tone with the trigger pressed and started smoking. fist time I have had to use it back to back semi quickly on more then 4 pins. guess its time to upgrade. :(when it works, it works great. But in a year now I have already had the heating element in the gun fail once. Contacted the company and they were understanding and did send a new gun end to me. I have used the new one a few times and now its clogged…again. I have tried to clear it and cant, so not it sits on my bench as a paperweight. not impressed, but you get what you pay for I guess.

decent de-soldering station for the money
This station works OK as long as you keep the de-soldering iron cleaned after each use. It clogs fairly quickly, maybe every 40-60 pins de-soldered. For the price, I can’t complain. It comes with several different desoldering tip sizes, which don’t appear to be labeled – through trial and error, you have to find the right tip that works the best for your scenario. With this station, I desoldered and then socketed all the existing chips and/or chip sockets on a Commodore 64 long type motherboard. This tool was up to the task as long as I kept the extracted solder cleaned out, and had the correct tip. As a soldering station, I have no complaints – it works great and heats up the soldering iron within a few seconds. Heating up the desoldering iron takes about a minute.

Great mutitool solder machine
I’m not that good at desoldering and was struggling with a recent project,so I decided to get this item.What was taking me hours was done in a few minutes as the machine just sucks up the solder with no issues.The solder also works great.The price was very cheap compare to some I found online that cost $500 or even over $1000.

Failed After Only 1 1/2 Uses
I’ve been doing electronics work for more than 40 years & what happened here is a first. I set up & tested the entire unit upon delivery. Set up was easy. Working with an old test PCB, I desoldered a few holes of various sizes; cleaning & swapping tips as needed. So far so good. Soldering was also good.THE NEXT DAY…After a few minutes, I noticed that the desoldering gun was taking forever to heat up. Along with that, it was going higher than my setting of 325c. The main control unit was obviously malfunctioning. At that point, I removed the desoldering gun from it’s holder & saw that the gun’s heating element had melted into the gun’s plastic housing (pic attached). In 40+ years I’ve never seen anything like that happen.BOTTOM LINE…I knew I was in trouble during the initial set up & testing. Overall, the unit is cheaply made & the instructions are fair at best. I had planned on getting a Hakko, but decided to try & save some money. Big mistake. Lesson learned.

Excellent Choice for Combo Solder/De-solder Station
This is a great choice for a Solder/De-solder station. It really does a great job fulfilling both needs. The de-soldering section works as you would expect, although the handheld unit is a bit bulky, but it gets the job done when used correctly. The temp-controlled soldering section is very nicely implemented with ultra-flexible wiring and very easy tip changes. The Yihua brand is my first choice for well-engineered high-quality soldering tools. You just can’t go wrong with their stuff.

Je suis un électronicien qualifié PACE niveau 2 et après deux jours dâutilisation il me semble que le pistolet à déssouder fonctionne très bien. Par contre la pointe du fer est un peu trop arrondi pour souder de petits elements comme les pièces de surface. Malgré tout, cela me semble être un bon rapport qualité/prix pour un équipement pour amateur.

Works well as long as you clean it after use. Before turning off make sure the heated tube is clear by using the provided tools. Also put a dab of solder on the tip before shutting it off. Once the gun cools take out the tube and clean the spring filter. It can be hard to clean and I have had to take a torch to it to remove stubborn solder build up.I like the fact that you get some spare consumables with it (like the spring filter).
