Can’t Ask for a Better Affordable Soldering Station
This is a great non-production soldering station for all electronic enthusiasts and even repair needs. I’ve owne them all over the years and this is the best deal I have found, so far for a light duty soldering station. It does everything well that a soldering station should do. It heats up very quickly to the selected temperature and maintains it very well as you solder. Of course it’s not for heavy duty wiring and heat sucking soldering jobs. You need a higher wattage iron for that kind of stuff. But, it is perfect for PCB and delicate soldering use. Grounded tip protects CMOS & static-sensitive devices. Soft silicone cord is easy to handle – you don’t have to fight with it. Comfortable & Cool lightweight cushioned iron, too. Nice selection of tip for various types of jobs including knife type included. My only complaint is that the blue LED display is too dim for viewing in a brightly lit area, like where you solder! Otherwise, it really puts Weller and others to shame at this pricepoint of $50-60. Highly recommended.

Excellent Product
Excellent product, quality appearance, multiple functions, selectable temperature and sleep menu supplied with solder multiple tips, instruction book. So far it is working perfectly.Received with magnifying light ring, had one failed LED. Supplier promptly replaced that component.

Great for the money, good overall
Highly recommended for the person who only uses this a few times a year or is new to soldering and doesnât mind seeing this as a starter unit. Iâm a bit bias towards my old school weller station. Thereâs no need for a display on these things but the addition of one doesnât take away from it. Temp seems to regulate well. I have 10+ hours on this unit now and overall enjoy it. Itâs a great basement lab tool. Heats up very quickly. The tips are the only disappointment. The smallest tip isnât that small but itâs too pointy(doesnât transfer heat well), and most of the others are too blunt for PCB work. Of the three tips Iâve used, none of them have consistent heat output. You’ll always have some kind of hot spot even on the high dollar units and tips are standard so you can buy the nicer pieces when or if you need them. Generally my only complaint is the consumables, the unit itself is very solid.

A big improvement over my decades old 40 watt model
I work on audio gear like cables, plugs, spade and banana lugs and other larger gauge wire and my oldIron never got hot enough.I solder all my lugs and cables and it takes a lot of heat. I use silver solder frequently and this new rig gets hot enough to melt silver solder quickly with nice flow.I like how fast this new soldering station heats up, the light weight of the iron, itâs quick temp adjustability and the storage for tips and solder and the tip cleaning pot.For uses like mine, this is an ideal setup. It stashes away easily, and everything is right on hand when I take it off my shelf. It has an LED lit “monocle” style magnifier on a flexible stem that is removable which is good for me because most of the work I do is macro-sized. So far, the Yihua has been a significant and cost-effective upgrade for my shop.The photos show my old iron with the new setup and the shop QC director who just sits and watches me work – sometimes for hours. She enforces good work habits. Hope that helps!

Small but mighty
In the pictures it looks good sized but when I got it I was shocked itâs not very big but wow it works great. It faster than my butane solder, gun and a lot faster than my 110 plug-in. I would definitely recommend it. It literally goes from cold, too hot enough to solder in seconds.Jan. 25 to April I have to say wow works flawlessly, Iâm very impressed and glad I purchased it and recommend it highly!!

Excellent temperature control and calibration.I had to re-engineer the spool holder so my 1 lb spool stays attached when using it or moving it around from place to place, but otherwise, It heats up fast and reliably. The helping hands are amazing, strong and tight, and very stable âcause they are attached to the heavy soldering station.

i tried several cheap ones before this, and then got this one and used it soldering became so easy and fun. sincere advice avoid cheap ones and go for serious ones like this

Seems to be a good unit but has done very little work to date. Should be made clear in advertising for sale in the Australian market that it is 110v only.
