Great for Electric Guitar Wiring
I like having a temperature readout. Better temp control seems to keep my tips cleaner and longer lasting. The stand for the iron can be located away from the main unit, which lets me position the iron near the work without the bulky power station right there. The cord for the iron that is limber and well behaved. compared to normal wire. Getting 10 tips with the unit is nice. Haven’t used the heat gun much yet but it would have been useful when I replaced the IC on a solid state guitar amp. It doesn’t do a quick job on heat shrink tubing, at least not with the nozzle I used. I’m sure there are better soldering stations out there for those who need them, but for low volume guitar work I can’t imagine needing anything better. Well worth $80!

Very Pleased
Very pleased with this purchase. I haven’t used the hot air gun much, but the soldering iron is excellent and comes with a nice variety of interchangable tips (as does the hot air gun). Heats up quickly and holds temperature well.

UPDATE: Customer Service was responsive, replacement part works so far. Defective part returned via provided expedited shipping labelThis item was purchased to perform a fairly basic repair on a Nintendo switch motherboard. What can I say? It failed miserably. The heat generated by the soldering gun/tip would just not reach a proper temperature. The unit itself looks and feels pretty solid in terms of build quality. The base did smoke a little when first powered on (not sure if that was normal) but the soldering pen does just not work. I had to pull out my Weller and use the heat gun from this unit. I just can’t melt solder on with any of the heat levels. Hopefully this was just a defective unit. I really would of loved to use this product because it has both a heat gun and a soldering iron all in one. Not sure if I should reach out to the seller to see if there is a quick fix or just return the product product. Maybe the seller can assist me with troubleshooting or replace the iron itself. The heat gun seems to work correctly and the accessories seem to decent. Won’t know until I am able to get the iron to work

great tool for the price
Pros:- Was able to solder very fine components with zero problems. Turned out perfect- Extremely easy to use set, and very sleek- Insanely good deal for the priceCons:- The extractor is terrible.- It can get annoying putting down the air tool for just a few seconds, and it drops temps.- I didn’t get the IC Extractor- Air seems a bit inaccurate, but not inconsistent so it’s fine- Fine iron tips don’t get very hot, but that’s extremely common and hardly a problem with this particular setAll in all, highly recommended for the price. You can’t beat it

Great for the price
When I originally started using it I believed it was defective. Then I realized it defaults to F for some reason. Got it switched over to C (which is typically standard for anything scientific or industrial even in the US) and it seems to reach temp just fine. Heats relatively quickly, holds heat fairly well. having the iron stand be able to screw in on the top is nice, and being stacked like that works far better for my limited workspace.Used this to install a new 3ds xl capture card, so it can definitely get fine detail soldering done when combined with the correct materials. Haven’t had a chance to test the hot air gun too much. Seems to work fine, I’ll update if it’s somehow not up to par.The unit has 3 power switches. One for each the soldering iron and hot air, and then one on the back that is the main power. The tips that the kit comes with are okay, not highest quality but enough to tie you over until you can get some better ones. haven’t tested the wick, but I know I will not be testing the solder they included since it’s lead-free, which sounds great for health reasons, but anyone will tell you is much more a hassle to work with.Having detachable soldering iron/hot air is great for storage, and seems like a good way to swap out the iron/gun if either die, but I’m unsure if the plug is some kind of standard or if it’s proprietary, and if proprietary if there are even any replacements available.

Great Value, Gets the Job Done – If you want Perfection this isn’t it, But perfection costs $1000+
Okay, so this iron is not perfect… but so what? If you want perfection go buy a JBC they start at $1000 and go up from there.But if you want something affordable on a budget and Good Enough to Get The Job Done, then this is an Excellent Choice.I needed a soldering station in a hurry, ordered this at 10am and received it the same day! Both the Blower and the Iron work just fine. I was able to complete my project. It does everything you need.Pros: Heats up really fast — I mean super really fast — and does a good enough job of maintaining the temperature.Cons: The temperature readout does not seem to be very accurate in absolute terms. (The calibration is adjustable but I haven’t bothered). Basically I just kept upping the heat setting until the solder was flowing well. It claimed to be 700F which seems high.Once I picked a temperature I got consistent results. When it got bogged down on larger thermal mass items, I just upped the temperature. Never needed more than 800F (it can go to 900F).Great Bargain, Great Value, comes with 10 soldering tips and some other extras.Disclaimer: I paid full price and did not receive any inducements for this review. I do NOT spend 8 hours a day soldering stuff in a production environment. This soldering station is well suited for hobbyists and students.

Well made, compact, quality
Soldering / Rework station is well made, compact and easy to use as intended. Gets up to heat reasonably quick. While using the solder iron, sometimes it does hesitate and not stay at temp. Great for home use on simple solder or unsolder small job not for large solders or heavy work. Overall great machine for DIY and small job.

Not many tools are cheap, but consider this tool a good vaue.
Basic simple controls will force you perform as though the equipment better. This air soldering tool is a fine value. Not the most feature rich but I am not a person who can dial in the operating setting of the soldering equipment.
