Hot quickly and consistently
The buttons on the side to control temp is amazing. Nice audible clicks. I honestly bought it for the flux and braided copper but I used it for the job and cleared a space in my tool box for the iron too.

Everything you need to get started
I have a large, gun style soldering iron that I have used for several years. It works great in most cases but when I have to work on circuit boards, I get very nervous because the rounded wire tip is not pinpoint accurate, and I worry that I could damage the circuit board with too much heat around the spot Iâm working on. When I saw the various tips that could be used on this product (pic), I ordered it to give it a try.It comes with everything you need to get started except a desoldering tool. The safety holder (stand) requires that you unbend to open the stand then bend back to put it away. It wonât take long before this breaks off at the bending point. Is the temperature display accurate? I donât know. I could not get my infrared thermometer to focus on the small tip of this soldering iron to confirm its accuracy. The variety of soldering tips make this unit versatile, and they are easy to swap out. This soldering iron gets up to temperature surprisingly fast (video). Iâve been using a one temperature gun and I donât know what that temperature is but Iâve learned how to work with that temperature for whatever I was doing. Unfortunately, I really donât know what temperature to use for various things and nothing in the instructions helps you with that.This worked well when doing some simple wire soldering (pics), unfortunately I was working with stranded wire which is more difficult to heat up than solid wire. Where I really liked using it was on a circuit board using one of the smaller soldering tips. I had to remove a burnt-out relay and replace it with a new one (pic).If I could change anything about this product it would be 1. Include some guidance for setting the temperature for various applications, 2. Improve the design of the safety holder (stand) and 3. Put all of this in a plastic case.
