Hard for a beginner.
The machine works but it is hard to handle for a rookie. The electrode will stick to the parts you are welding if it touches them. There no on/off switch. It would help to switch the machine off if that happens.

FEMEROL MODEL: MMA 120R HANDHELD 110VAC WELDING MACHINE KIT is supplied in locking clasp blow molded handle case and includes Welder, attached 110VAC 3PRONG plug, plug-in ground clamp, Gloves, Brush, welding Rods x5, small dark rectangular welding glass and User Manual. On Amazon Product Site the Welding Tool Warranty is stated as â Two Year Guarantee â. There is NO Warranty or Customer Service Contact Information included with FEMEROL MMR 120R Welding Kit.The device is hand held and shaped like large drill. The Welding Rods insert at front ( like a drill bit ) held in place with screw lock by external plastic Red Knob. The Ground Clamp plugs into handle base through locking brass connector. The spring Clamp is large which works on metal car frame or other ground attachment. The current adjustment knob and readout on top of unit. The evaluation kit did not come with welding helmet but small piece dark glass included. We obtained, separately, Hard Welding Helmet with flip up face prior to test. It is possible to put all items back in case but my experience it takes time to get everything placed so top will close. A large orange fabric bag included which we used for Helmet storage.This Welding Kit ( at time of Review ) is less than $100.00. It includes everything needed to start a small welding project but recommend a good Welding Helmet. The Manuel included is not very detailed only including one usage picture. This portable welder is great. Iâm a beginner of welding. I have no welding experience, only what I’ve read online and watching Youtube videos. It worked great for the project I need it for. Make sure you use the right welding rod for your situation.It comes with 6013 rods, and other accessories, you can use it right away. It is very simple to use. I saved hundreds of dollars by doing this myself.Highly recommend!

Looking for a low-cost way to do hobby welding
The instructions were not helpful at all. I burned it up on my first strike. If you don’t have a working knowledge of elecrical supply limits and required amperage, it won’t work for you. You can’t just plug it into any old 110-volt outlet. There is no instruction to caution against using it on a recommended circuit.
