Decent Plastic welder kit..
Decent Plastic welder kit..It’ll get the job done on many lightweight plastic repairs and projects..But it’s slightly under-powered for heavier fixes on auto trim and bumper repairs. Not sure why, but it also doesn’t include a single point smoothing blending tip, so I ordered one separately.But overall, this along with a single point tip and a pack of HF plastic welding rods will fulfill the needs of many projects and repairs..

Decent plastic welder
Until recently, I have to admit I didn’t even know what a plastic welder was. Essentially you insert a shaped staple, power it on, let it heat up, then press it in place across a break. You weld (really, melt) the staple into place. The lid of my recycling bin had a long crack in it that I put heavy duty duct tape over, but it kept splitting the tape. This solves that problem. I do have a couple critiques of this set though. First, it’s half the wattage at 50 as many alternatives, so it doesn’t get as hot or as quickly, or reheats as fast. Also, they give you a sampling of some different staples, but alternatives give a larger quantity of more types. So this is pretty good and gets the job done, but it could be a little better I think, so I rated it right in the middle.

Heats quickly, saves patio chairs etc.
I had my doubts about plastic welding but this tool worked well fixing my Adam’s manufactured plastic patio chairs and saved money. Some plastic items are not worth saving when the material has degraded due to age and UV damage but I had some hail damaged patio chairs that looked new and still had usable life and this hot stapler worked quite well repairing the cracked seats and arms.

Zkaybb Upgraded Plastic Welder
This plastic welder kit is as pictured and seems like OK quality. I did a test on some sprinkler head plastic and it melted surprisingly very quickly it’s job. I didn’t know after I had set the metal staple into the plastic if I was going to have to touch the ends but I just pulled the plastic gun away and it released the metal staple which was nice. I would recommend.

Works well. Good storage case.
This plastic welder heats up fast and does what it’s supposed to do. What I like the most is how well the case fits this. A lot of tool cases are universal to cut costs and never fit quite right, but this one is perfect and holds the welder securely. It’s obvious where everything goes and it closes the first time, which makes using it a joy. No fighting to position things to get it to close with this case, and that’s a huge plus.

Useful around the house
My first project with these was to “staple” together an office chair where I had broken the back by leaning back on it too hard. The whole back is plastic, so it’s a job for this tool. Put in a whole bunch of staples.It isn’t exactly straight, but the mesh on the back is usable again, at least for a while.
