Works perfectly
Good stuff. Works exactly as you’d expect this kind of solder to work. Flowed nicely once I had the joint heated up and hardened up with no gaps/holes.

Not good for stained glass
Used this on my stained glass project. It smoked excessively and could not use. Itâs possible that there were a lot of impurities in product. Compared to my go to 60/40 solder this brand was unusable for stained glass. Would be ok for electrical work. Would not buy again.

NOT WHAT IS CLAIMED
This is claimed to be 60/40 (tin-lead) SOLID. IT IS NOT. The attached image shows two cross-sectional views of the solder. CLEARLY there is a white material core. The material is, of course, not identified so the user cannot be sure what this solder might do. If the core material is caustic or acidic it could instantly and permanently marr and/or substantially destroy any artistic application. I strongly advise NOT buying this product for use where the material or joint could be compromised by the unknown flux. I will test this stuff carefully before I use it, but for now, I consider it not worth the effort. Be warned.

this solder puts off a lot of smoke.
I recently purchased the TOWOT 60/40 solder wire for a stained glass project, and although the solder melted fine and created strong bonds, I was quite disappointed with the amount of smoke it produced. Every time I put my iron against the solder, a tremendous amount of smoke would fill my workspace, leaving me concerned about the potential health hazards.I’m not sure if other users have experienced the same issue, but it definitely made me hesitant to continue using this product. While the solder wire itself performed well in terms of melting and creating strong bonds, the issue with excessive smoke emission is a major drawback for me.Overall, I would recommend exercising caution when using this product and ensuring proper ventilation in your workspace to minimize the potential health risks associated with the smoke production.

Just not what I’m used to
This is probably a very decent product for some uses, but I bought to use on stained glass projects. We typically use 60/40 but add liquid flux separately, so I am used to a flowing solder. This product did not flow the way traditional solder does even though it states flux is not needed. When we added flux, it smoked somewhat and still did not flow as smoothly as I wanted. It worked and could be manipulated into a decent product, but would require more labor and detail than usual.
