Our Tix Solder melts at 275’F but is much stronger than other Lead or Tin Solders. Does not tarnish and can be used to solder Platinum, Gold, Silver, Stainless Steel, Pewter and many other alloys. Use with torch or soldering iron.
Tix Flux is specifically designed to work with Tix Solder, a low melting lead/tin based solder. With Tix Solder’s melting point of only 275*, it’s important to have a flux which flows at a much lower temperature, and this product is an ideal match. Tix Flux can be used with almost any soft solder, and cleans up with water.
Tix Anti-Flux is an excellent solution to use on areas where you wish to prevent solder from flowing such as screw threads, clasps, adjacent soldered connections, and more. Just brush a little onto any area where you don’t want solder to flow, and Tix Anti-Flux will stop it cold! Brushes on easily and cleans up with water. Works best with Tix Solder.
Kits Contains:
Tix Solder: 1/4 ounce tube (20 sticks)
Tix Flux: 1/2 fluid ounce
Tix Anti-Flux: 1/2 fluid ounce

Customers find that the soldering iron works well for PCB repair without damaging plated-through holes. They appreciate the good solder quality and low melting temperature, which allows it to do low-temperature jobs traditional silver or lead solders can’t handle. Many customers find it easy to use, though opinions differ on strength, value for money, and color match.

Works well
Most expensive solder I ever purchased, but it works great for its intended application. Strong low temp solder.

Excellent product! Easy to use!
I very rarely leave a review but this is a GREAT product! When I bought the product, I wasn’t really sure what the anti Flux was, since I’d experimented with only Flux. The anti Flux seems to really make the solder flow much better and makes it easier to use. The small brushes on the bottles are the perfect size and make both the Flux and antiflux easy to use. Solder matches the color of sterling silver so closely! I soldered a part back together and you wouldn’t noticed it was soldered. This kit will last you a long time if you’re doing small jobs. (tip: if you have not soldered with solder, always practice on a test piece first) Will definitely buy again!

Great for fashion jewelry repair
Iâve been using this product for over 30 years and itâs consistently working as designed. Some metals will not adhere to regular solder, but the combination of this flux and this solder is nothing short of amazing. Pretty strong too. Clean your work first. Also, can use solder gun or I use a small flame mini torch intermittently so not to burn. Lasts a long time as you donât need a lot.

Greatest solder I’ve ever used
This is the greatest solder/flux combo I’ve ever used in my life. Having never soldered brass before I was dreading the task of assembling these 4 model train chassis frames because I was sure it would be a nightmare. This stuff is an absolute pleasure to work with an melts/flows with little to no effort leaving great strong solder joints. I coated the metal where it should join with flux, placed a very small fillet of the solder on the join, and then briefly heated the metal from the opposite side with a small butane torch. Flawless results. I’ll never use another solder again for structural modelling purposes 1000000000/10.Edit:The reason it flowed so easily is because the strength is not that great. As long as you don’t need a lot of holding power the solder is great. Treat this as a middle ground between soft solder and high strength silver solder.

Iâm a bit disappointed in shine
I work with regular solder in fabrication. All though I thought it was a bit expensive, I needed a low temp solder to fix sterling silver piece that had stone. Very disappointed in the finish. I thought by buying from a jewelry supplier I expected better. I do also do some soft solder jewelry, and use lead free silver solder, that had a better shine.

Looks much better now than it did when the repair shop originally did it.
I bought this to fix my favorite white gold bracelet. The jeweler had previously replaced the clasp and he did a lousy job of soldering. After wearing it for a while the repaired area began to catch on my clothes and snag my sweaters. My husband used this solder to cover over, smooth and correctly repair what the jeweler had tried and failed to do. He was very impressed with the solder and its ability to work at a lower temperature. He was able to make the repair smooth and shiny and it really looks fantastic. I am very happy with the repair. This kit saved me so much time and aggravation. It was perfect for my needs.
