This is what other solder stations are trying to achieve, this is my essential because it works!
The cool-down or heat up speed with digital display is such a great addition. I was amazed at the heat dissipation and having the solder being the perfect temperature for the exact project needed, allows for much more precision and makes me feel more confident in not only the solder, but my abilities as well. The tweezers that are included are amazing from the upgraded material to the skilled tuning craftsmanship. The metal is so sharp and strong I can hold onto a tiny thread with precision spacing.The entire design shows intelligence. Splurge on the right material, and cut corners on the decor that doesnât matter as much. The hands are available but not intrusive, and hold their position and grip. There is a nice space set up for parking the iron when done, but I wish there was also a space for the tweezers, and a little shelf for projects. Of course this doesnât really take away from this device, but a couple upgrade options.

Sweet little station for starting out
NIce size, its small but mighty.I thought i got a defective one, so don’t do what I did, if you change the settings from celsius to fahrenheit reset the machine otherwise it won’t work correctly.Heats up really fast. Feels a little cheap but it comes with everything you need to get started and I like that. The solder sucker works too. I have good expectations for this one….hopefully its better than the last one I had that melted its own power cord off…..

Mixed feelings on this
I got this through Vine; I was in need of a hotter soldering iron to change connectors on RC batteries, I saw this and snagged it. I have mixed feelings on this station.On the positive: Easy setup, heats quickly, a spot for 2 rolls of solder, two helping arms, comfortable grip. Get very hot, I tinned a couple of 18AWG wires to test it out. This will fit my need just fine. BUTâ¦There are two issues with this, one minor, one a bit more than minor (in my opinion).To make any changes (C to F, for example, you need the manual because the menu system isnât intuitive. You lose the manual and youâll neeed to hope that you can find a manual online.But more importantly, there is no cover over the soldering iron tip. You put the iron into the holder and the tip is exposed on the other side; this is the reason for the short video. If you have a nice clean dedicated space, this would only be an issue if you decided to move the unit right after turning it off and catch your hand on the tip. I feel this is a bit of a safety flaw as it could be eliminated but a small cage with two screws to place over the end of the iron.I checked the accessories (tools to assemble, tweezers x 2, 5 replacement tips, a solder sucker, small roll of solder,tip cleaner) but nothing cover the exposed tip. I have another holder that Iâll use while this itâs being used.SUMMARY: The soldering station works very well, easy to change temp, hot. But, 3-stars for what I personally deal is a safety issue with an exposed tip.

Nice device but be careful of the exposed tip
I have been an electrical and environmental aircraft tech for 25 years and I have done a lot of soldering. This is a nice unit, but like another stated there could be a safety concern with the exposed tip of the iron. Normally there is a well to drop it into to cover it when hot, but this just has a chute that leaves it exposed on the hot end. Make sure it is not near anything combustible if you use it.
