Fun, easy to build.
Nice little project. I replaced the included power socket with a micro USB port. One of the 2 pin through hole guys fit perfect.

Fun Project
It would be nice if it came with a power cable. Otherwise the kit was a good exercise in electronics soldering. Great price to kill an afternoon.

Pick another starter kit
Poor instructions (that aren’t included, just a printed part list and a QR code for the actual instructions) and the fact it requires an obscure plug to power up is a big turn off. the price is fine but there are better kits out there for beginners, i wouldn’t recommend this one.

Starter kit?
This is supposed to be a starter kit to learn how to solder. Not exactly sure what they consider “starter”. I believe I received all the parts I was supposed to but can’t swear to that, and even if I did I’m not sure if I know where they go since it came with absolutely no description or directions of any kind. I think that I can work out how to put everything together and will update my post when/if I do. But, if you want an easy first time project you may want to look at some other more comprehensive kit.

can’t learn to solder w/thisâno instructions or soldering equipment
The ad says this is a good beginners project to learn how to solder. I was expecting to be able to learn how to solder. What came was a board, some pins, and four little doodads. There’s no instructions, not even anything to let me know what the doodads are, and no soldering equipment. I still don’t know how to solder.
