Awesome kit with realistic samples
I have 17 vintage synths from the 70âs and 80âs that need some battery changes. Some need hardware firmware upgrades. Thus I needed something to rejuvenate my soldering skills with. This kit is easy to work with and makes some pretty cool sound when you start playing it. I would recommend this kit to beginners and old hands getting back into solder work for electronics.

fun and very versitile
I love this kit, very easy to put together, many musical instruments can be sampled, and if you DIY can be added to many other electronic project! #sa8die,.

Easy project for 11 year old beginner
Love the music. Doesn’t come with instructions, but my kiddo put it together himself. He looked up which wires are negative and positive and did the rest. He has some soldering experience, but not much.

Spotty success with this, one worked partially, another not at all. But does have good music!
I bought one of these to practice soldering. Not all the buttons worked. However, the preloaded melodies were really nice. Thought maybe my bad soldering was the problem. If I twisted the board a little everything worked. I tried desoldering some parts and got a little further. So this did show me my soldering was partially to blame. Since I liked the music I got another one.Was not successful with the second one out of the box. Made sure not to get cold solder joints, but alas, total silence. Gave up on it eventually. So I’m giving it a 4, because it is relatively less expensive than other similar items and has nice preloaded music. However, I suspect something about the board and/or chip is low quality, so I can’t quite give it a 5.

Great kit for older kids to practice soldering skills.
My teenager (who has limited experience soldering) used this as a way of practicing her soldering skills. The piano worked beautifully once she was done. She even gave it away as a gift.

Great for learning to solder!
I’d never done any electronics soldering, and needed something cheap to practice on. It’s 99% soldering the buttons on, and 1% soldering 4 wires. My first 10 joints were garbage, but by the end I had it down. It’s a fun toy, and plays a bunch of sounds. Overall, it’s a great 1st project.I would recommend this for anyone that is old enough to use a soldering iron responsibly.

Tingbowie Practicing Soldering Kit
Bought this for our grandson, who had a beginning soldering kit. He loved it and is still using it. Able to play songs on the finished product, as well as record some notes.

Piano!
Yes and it can be a good way to try playing music. Easy project and is satisfying when finished.

Thought it would be interesting to build this and keep up with soldering techniques. Unfortunately the only thing to solder on this board are the buttons. Not much for polishing up soldering techniques. After assembling it the sound quality and function isnât the greatest. Save your money and get something a little more interesting to build.
