Best beginner kit
So, this was the first kit I soldered together and every time I look at it I get a sense of pride. I thought it was broken when I took it home but as it turns out, the white things on the bottom were switches. (whooda thunk). Anyway it’s very easy to put together, it’s worth the money, and it can take a beating. Make sure you research your solder because putting the iron too low and waiting for the solder to melt could damage your circuit board. This one was durable enough to withstand that though.

Good product. Nice little soldering project for beginners. Good value for the money. There is supposed to be a web site with instructions, if you need them make sure you can find them before you purchase it.

Easy kit, good for beginners
While there were no printed instructions included in the kit, its easy enough to put together that isn’t really issue (just remember the longer leg on the LEDs are positive). One light was missing from the kit I ordered though. Good for a beginner’s first or second project overall.

Nice kit to demo current vs brightness of LEDs.
Used in amateur radio technician class to talk about Kirkhoffâs ohms law and power (E= IxR, & W=VxI. (V=IxR). Small enough to store in Altoids case to protect.

You’re only installing the LEDS
Nice quality PCB. Dip switches are good quality. PCB is clearly printed. You are only installing the LEDS though. Would be better if you assembled the entire board rather than just the LEDs so you can practice SMD soldering AND through hole soldering. A great beginner kit otherwise

This kit was my very first soldering experience. Itâs LEDs and switches gave me immediate feedback. What is great is that even if I had messed up a single LED connection the rest of the LEDs could operate.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
The only think you will get to solder is the LEDs and the DIP switch. ALL the items in this kit can be bought from TEMU or ALI for less than $1 total cost. For just a few dollars mor you can get an entire electronics starter kit that has ALL this and hundreds of other items including prototype boards. I bought this expecting to get to solder some very small SMD restores. They come mounted to the board already. I’m not dogging the seller. I’m dogging this kit.
