Priceless
You’re not buying this to practice soldering. You’re buying this to share an experience with your kid or grandkid to introduce them to electronics.My grandson and I enjoyed building this kit and he takes it everywhere. Even though he has a tablet with fancy games, he built this one with me and feels all the maker’s pride because this game is truly “his.”Now I have to get another one so I can do the same thing with his Daddy.My only complaint is that I had to cut the 4 screws that hold the battery compartment on because they were a little too long.Otherwise, every transistor, resistor, capacitor, and switch comes with an extra just in case you mess it up. It’s a very well thought out kit.

Fun multi-game project
Great project for beginners. Take your time and have a clean workspace. Like most pieces where chips go, you’ll need to do a little bending to get them into place but having time and patience will pay off. Upon completion you have a multi-game device to challenge your kids, significant other, or friends to beat your score.I did have to use a soldering iron to melt a small section of plastic on the case out of the way to piece it together, only reason it’s getting a 4 star. Otherwise was a great project.

Great for beginners
This is a great little kit for beginners. It is pre-programmed so should work after assembly. There are some extra parts which is not common for other kits I’ve gotten before but very cool because I’ve had the occasional dud component before so usually order extra parts when putting together other DIY projects that don’t come as kits.Definitely something I’d recommend if you have a kid interested in electronics or even if you are starting out yourself and want something easy and rewarding to practice on.

Fun soldering practice
It’s always good to practice your skills, especially soldering. This wasn’t too difficult with the thru-hole design, really good for practicing solid joints. Everything stuck perfectly and the games are fun. This is a great kit to show your kids soldering skills, or a fun little project for yourself.

Managed to do it with 11 y.o. without a problem not having done much soldering before, but have watched youtube tutorial videos on how to solder. Instructions are clear and you can also follow a video on youtube with instructions and demo how to do it. And you get to play some retro style games at the end! Highly recommended.
