A super kit for the money
A super kit for the money. Everything you need to repair that broken jewelry pining to be worn, except the silver solder which you’ll have to buy that from a dealer. If you’ve thought about start a new jewelry-making hobby, this is a great beginners kit. You can’t go wrong.

not bad
The only thing I really love about this is the torch. I like the pliars, tweezers, flux & dry acid compound, & magnesia block. I use hard solder instead. The metal thing with the legs??? What the f is that for? Its useless. Never watched the CD

best starter kit for the price
Its the best starter kit at the best price ANYWHERE. But also note the silver solder paste is 1/4oz. However its still the best. It gives you the essentials.

Yeah, not so much.
Bought as a gift for my wife, who wanted to expand her jewelry making skills. She doesn’t like it. The DVD in particular is horrid, and she reports the quality of the tools is subpar as well. This is not a good starter kit – not near enough info for somebody who doesn’t know what they’re doing, and somebody who does know what they’re doing would presumably know enough to be able to get better equipment for less money. Stay away from this one.

Disappointed
With the micro torch that was included in the kit I can’t get even easy solder to flow. The main reason I bought this kit was for the torch so I’m really disappointed. Now I will need to buy a different torch. Also the flux was dried hard as a rock so when I opened the cap the brush that was attached ripped off. I have tried adding water but the consistency just isn’t right. Looks like the kit has since been updated to include the max flame torch which is probably the one I will end up buying (in addition to what I paid for this kit).

I am completely new to soldering and I purchased this as It looked like it had everything I needed!I read reviews saying the flux was not great so I purchased a different brand. Everything works amazing, although I am not sure what the stand was for.I did not use the dvd and just followed youtube tutorials. Overall I highly recommend this.
