Light weight, fast heating
This little soldering iron has three big advantages. The first is weight. I weighs on my scale, 1.4 ozs. or next to nothing. The second is the speed in heating. The time from turning it on to 380°C is 18 seconds. The third is the auto off and on. It senses when you are holding it and when it is in the fixed holder and turns itself on and off accordingly. Leave it in the stand or holder for a minute or so and it turns off. It turns back on immediately as you pick it up. Reheating is just a few seconds, so I never had to wait over a very few seconds. It comes with its own power brick and a USB C cable. The brick is about twice the size of the usual USB A brick. It is also much higher amps and voltage, going up to 2.2 amps and 20 volts. You cannot substitute a low power brick, like a phone charger. It won’t provide the power to heat the tip.It comes with two tips, a wedge and a cone. The heating element are incorporated into the tips and the whole assembly is about as long as a Bic pen, but with less diameter. It requires T series tips.My dislikes are the cheesy little holder made of thin stamped metal with almost no weight. Don’t use it, it isn’t safe as it will barely stay upright with the soldering iron in it. The second dislike is the case. It is cardboard with a foam insert and will hold only the iron, no room for solder, a sponge or even the charging brick and cable.Still, I find it easy to set up and use. The ultra-light weight is great, and the quick heating makes it so easy to use. The solder included is not rosin core so you will need to order some flux if you don’t have any. Also, buy a good solid stand with a good, heavy weighted base.

Works, a bit underwhelming
I donât know about this soldering iron.It definitely serves a purpose. Itâs easy to set up, and heats up in about 20 seconds. It has a box to keep everything together.I have an old Hakko 936 clone, and was hoping to find something smaller to replace it.Iâm not sure if I want to buy a set of tips for this one.Itâs fine for an entry-level soldering iron. Itâll do the job just fine for just about all hobbyists.I think Iâd like something a bit higher-quality, to keep for many years. On the other hand, this is nice because you can get rid of everything, and just keep the iron & tips. All you need is a charger, USB C cable, solder, sponge, and whatever accessories you normally use. It mostly depends on how much value you can get out of another iron

Nice little iron, but using a power bank is questionable
Since this advertises how awesome usb c is and that it can be used with a power bank I decided to try with one. I have 3 and the most powerful one says it outputs 5V/2.1A. Unfortunately it’s not possible with such a low amp power bank apparently. To compare, to get to 350â°C from room temp it took the wall adapter it came with (max 3 amps) less than 19 seconds. With my power bank after 10 minutes it hadn’t gotten past 200â°C, and it actually seemed stuck there. It got to 200 after 7 or so mins and just never got past like 205âit just kept fluctuating between 195 and 205.Despite that misleading tidbit I still love this thing. The interface is very easy to use by making the power button also work as a menu change button. The display is crisp and easy to read. I’m new to soldering and don’t have a lot to compare it to, but it worked well for de-soldering and re-soldering the PS4 controller vibration motors and a little magnetic duck soldering kit I got.As others have mentioned the stand isn’t super sturdy, but I don’t plan to bend it back down now that it’s up, so I think it’ll do fine for a while. The cable is quite thick, although I don’t know if it’s solder iron resistant and I’m not about to try (I doubt it is, but it is sturdier than many other cables). The little box it comes in is nice but I’d actually like if there was another cutout in the foam for the extra tip and/or the USB cable to go in. Seems like some wasted space in that box. Granted, the power brick would be too big to fit, but it’d be handy to have less loose parts.Overall, this is a great soldering iron at nice price of $33. Definitely recommend!

Good but not great.
It heats up really fast and has a great display. You can regulate your heat to your desired applications which is definitely a plus. It is very ergonomic in hand and looks cool with the choice of colors available. You will receive an additional tip also. The charging block and cord are nice and beefy and does a great job at generating desired heat. The stand, sponge are basically useless. The provided solder would work ok I guess on circuit boards and such things. I ordered some 1.0 solder and it worked much better. I was assuming as I think others were by the reviews that this was a rechargeable and could be used cordless but it has no capacity to charge and use that way. If you search you will see it states does not support wireless use. That was a big negative for me. At the asking price I think it is a bit high for what you get. I did notice now they are offering a 35% off coupon, so it would be a bit better buy with the coupon. I have an older soldering iron as they were called back then and it does the same thing as this unit at a fraction of the cost, but it is just plug and play no unnecessary frills. 3ðâs
