Works pretty well
Got this kit to try and resolder a micro usb port back into a circuit board, as well as potentially needing to solder pin headers onto circuit boards as well (Arduino shields).Kit came with everything I needed to get the job done, with some caveats.Would be nice if it came with batteries for the magnifying light, would be nice if it came with some form of helping hands or other tools to help with micro soldering. Lastly, there is no indication that the iron has fully warmed up. If there is, I never realized, and didn’t see anything in the documentation.Other than that, like I said, it got the job done. I was able to successfully solder the micro usb port back on the board. This kit is also better array of tools than one I got in the past, as well as the iron itself seems to be of better quality.

Great value
I’ve only soldered very little in my life. Built a drone recently and this kit made me look like a master. Comes with a lot of stuff for the price! I would’ve paid $10 just for the little wire cutters included. Dad was amazed when I told him I got the whole kit for under $30. Is it the nicest soldering gun ever? No, but it works perfectly well especially for a hobbyist. The solder it came with worked well for me too.

Cheap Beginner’s Kit
I bought this about a year ago when I decided to learn how to solder. I attempted to desolder some components off some knock off GameCube controllers for practice, but I wasn’t sure how hot I was supposed to set my iron. Either way, it didn’t desolder anything properly and gave up cause I didn’t want risk breathing in the fumes too much.Fast forward to tonight. I got a fume extractor and tried it again with a little beginner’s kit for learning. I turned the heat up to max (450 F/ 232 C) and everything worked how I imagined it would.tldr; Cool beginner set, lacks flux, might have to max out heat on Iron for it to actually solder anything.

Great soldering iron event for hobbyist’s
Bought this because I didn’t have a very good soldering Iron the only thing I had that was good was a soldering gun but was to big for a lot of the hobby things that I do.I love the fact it comes with a lot of accessories I have pretty much used everything in the kit as its convenient.I also love the fact that it has an on off switch and a temp controller.To give you an Idea of what I used it for first was I used the soldering Iron to Recap a Sega Game Gear. This worked very well for me. Only thing was the the soldering iron stand I think could have been a bit more sturdy as far as when I was putting it together it was very tuff to get into the mount.I would totally recommend this to any beginner or hobbyist.

Great Value!!!
Came with way more accessories than I need. But no complaints from me. Was easy to setup and take care of a short soldering project for a electronic arcade set that had wires disconnected. Great Value!!!

Surprised!
I did not have high hopes for this product upon purchase but felt it was a better bargain than the soldering iron at the local hardware store and more useful than the non temp controlled 20W P.O.S. currently in my toolbox. Used the iron for the first time tonight and was absolutely blown away at the usefulness of the entire kit! Before I knew it, I felt like a kid with a new toy and had 3 items pulled out of my different vehicles, torn apart, soldering in AUX cable hacks and touching up broken connections on chip resistors. All the things I wouldn’t do with my old iron for fear of overheating a board or shorting an IC. I feel I actually have the right tools for the job and it has absolutely restored my confidence in this skill. I absolutely recommend this kit to anyone, I feel it would also make a great gift for the little tinkerer in the house. Time will tell on the quality, it’s obviously not a Weller but even if I threw it away in a year and bought a Weller, I would still have all the handy tools.

Kit useful if need a quick fix
I did return the kit but wanted to share my experience. First, it is a great value for someone starting out soldering. The kit came in a nice case. I did have a few missing items based on the description from the website but this is not the reason I returned the unit. You do get a lot in the case but several of the items are not of the highest quality but then again look at the price of the kit. The soldering iron itself heated up fast but also lost temp quickly if doing several solder points back to back. You will need to wait for iron to heat back up or pause at times. All that being said, if you just need a quick kit to get you through a project I would recommend it. It doesn’t work well in my case but for someone doing very light work it should be fine. Worth the price even if I were missing some items. Hopefully you will have a better experience.

More than everything you need
I have about a year’s worth of soldering experience, so I’m no seasoned vet, but I just fixed my oven for the $20 cost of this kit, the solder worked on the first try, and the tips even came pre-treated with solder so I just had to heat it up and fix the falty joint on the circuit board. Took 3 minutes.I was skeptical for how cheap this was, but especially with the pre-treated tips, and a couple tools I had never even considered before like the spatula, I feel like they thought of everything. The fact that it’s everything you might need in one package for $20ish, and it arrived in a day – that’s amazing!
