Heats up fast
I don’t do a lot of soldering, so I can’t really compare this set to others. But I really like that it heats up fast. The digital display lets you know exactly how hot it is, and allows you to set the temperature. The kit includes pretty much everything you need to get started. I needed it to repair a refrigerator ice maker, and it worked flawlessly. The case is nice to keep everything together – only complaint it the plastic tray is that flimsy disposable packing plastic, not a more sturdy ‘keep this’ sort of plastic. But that’s minor. Good set.

Cheap and case is gigantic waste of space
If you are planning on using this as a reliable tool for work or hobby and more than using one time (until it breaks after an hour or so) then Do Not Buy this item.It is a cheap product with flimsy construction that will not last at all.The case it comes in has vacuum formed plastic molded platform that eats up more than half the internal space. What a waste.Buy a Weller or similiar and spend the extra $$ to get something that will last you more than one use before the control button falls off and the iron tip melts the housing.
