I do a ton of SMD rework on multilayer boards using my MBT System. I monitor the Iron Tempreture in real time as I work, the Siziviki 60 Watt Digital Meter accurately maintains the proper temperatures without deviating. Does the job sometimes
I use this to cut my mesh for wreaths. When I first used it it worked very well.On the 3 rd day it started off well but then shut off. Nothing showed on the panel. I unplugged and tried again. It was a constant plug/unplug to get through my project. I did not get much use out of this item. If it doesn’t work tomorrow it will go back! Has anyone else had this happen?

Ability to cap tip temperature, decent power in a small package.
I prefer low temperature tin alloys as they don’t stress even low quality semiconductor components. They melt around 350F. Constant temperature soldering irons usually have tip temperatures around 880-930F. But that’s a lot for low temperature solders plus tip contact will still destroy poorly packaged or low thermal inertia semiconductor components. In contrast, this soldering iron has a built-in thermostat. I like the ability to adjust the tip temperature. The ceramic heating element is the same as in my stationary soldering station. It has an integrated thermocouple. Thermostat adjusts the heating element current based on thermocouple feedback. Small LCD display in the handle shows the actual current tip temperature. +/- buttons make temperature adjustment very easy. 60W of power is more than enough for a general PCB soldering and even for soldering bigger components like parts of power supply circuits. Stand with cleaner pad, set of tips with different profiles and coil of flux core solder are included.

For the price? Yes!
This isn’t your go to kit or even the backup, for this price I use this for random projects that I don’t want my nicer kits near. When my kid wanted to add some accessories to his toy truck? You bet I whipped this one out. If this one fails at least I’m not out much.

Works great!
This soldering kit is just what i needed. It works as intended and I am so happy to have a reliable temperature control. Itâs easy to use right from the get-go and I am very pleased with it. Iâll pop back in with an update after Iâve been able to use it a few more times.
