Valueable Soldering Kit with Easy-to-Change tips and convenient zip top tip-storage pouch
â« I got this to replace a set that I’d had for a long time that finally just started to wear out.â¥The first star for this setï¼When this arrived, it was neatly packed into a box and the very first thing that caught my eye was the resealable plastic pouch for the tips. My previous set did NOT have this and without it, your tips end up all over your work space because they roll no matter what you set them down on.â¥The second star is that the base that it can be set on is not high. When the base and the accompanying wire on which you rest the soldering iron, is high, you have more of a tendency to bump into it. I’ve gotten a couple of nice burns on the side of my hand from this in the past, so I was pleased to see that this one rests the Soldering iron near to the surface.âMore likes: Color me happy to see that the tips change so easily. Unscrew the top, remove the current tip, place the new one, and put the top back on and tighten it up. And last, but certainly not least, the tips themselves are in shapes that are handy and usable around the house. The one I have taken a picture of is a wide tip, wider than in my last set, and I was so glad to see it. It saves me buying another tip as this is the tip I use most often.âI’ve used some form of soldering iron in my home for the last 20 years. I use them on wire dress forms, wire jewelry, jewelry and watch repairs, doll house items, doll house electrical, and just general repairs that only a solder can hold. I’m impressed with this set and am very pleased I chose this set to purchase.

Good but cheap
Itâs a fantastic cheap option for those of us (like me) that are do it yourselves kind of people. It works as described, the temp control is nice and so is the holder. The wire cutters are pretty cheap I just bought some real ones. It feels fine but not like those super nice expensive ones my dad used to fix old monitors back in the day. Great in between product and all in one too. Iâd recommend for anyone who is not planning on using it for hours a day simply because I donât think it would last the long haul.

Cheapish, but works good
This works pretty good for a cheap soldering fun. Works pretty good, but feels cheapish. I have used mine 4 times now, and while it may feel kind of cheap, it is still performing as well as when I first got it. Not bad for the money but if you plan on using this ALL the time, I recommend spending $30 more and getting a great soldering station

Good if you have never used solder
I needed to solder the aligater clamps on a battery charger. I had never soldered before. The kit had everything I needed. I would not buy if I knew that I would be using a lot but for me it is a pefect set up. I might use this kit once a year and for that it is perfect.

Are you soldering motherboards 10 hours a days in a factory?
I bought this little soldering kit and had a chance to use it today. The soldering iron has a thermostat that actually works and it heats up very fast. It also cools down very fast. There is a handy zippered bag that comes with it that holds all the accompanying stuff.I use a soldering iron a few times a year for a few minutes at a time. This iron is perfect and a did a terrific job without any nonsense. I do not need a $200 soldering iron that I can adjust the temperature to within .05 degrees.
