Very easy to use
This product is very easy to use.. it heats up quickly and also cools quickly.You can adjust where the spool comes out and touches the hot surface n it depends on what you’re soildering as well.You manually squeeze the trigger to how much an how fast you want the spool to come out and its perfect for those one-handed operations.My spook finished quickly because i did a lot of soldering..lol…. it was just too easy to use…. just wentto local hardware n got a new spool and it was easy to set up. i have used it quite a lot without using the trigger and even then, it work quite well.. the tip cleans easy as well.it does have a cheap plastic feel to it but It is worth the money n as with most things, once u care it, it stays in good condition. i would def buy again.The accessories now…. tthe suction is very very useful! very happy it came with one and the two clippers it came with.. extremely useful as well..this is most def not a bad purchase at all.

This unit works great.
Iâm very happy with set up its easy to use and Iâve already paid for it several times over by being able to repair delicate soldering jobs.Iâm very glad I bought this and Iâm sure itâs gonna help me save a lot of $$ in the future. Itâs easy to use and does a great job too

Not reliable on solder feed or tip position
The iron gets nice and hot, reasonably quickly, but the mechanism for feeding the solder through is Mickey Mouse and it jams more than it feeds. Then if you do position the solder holder right and get it to (temporarily) feed through, it isn’t clear how to get the solder onto the thing you are soldering.A very good idea, very poorly executed.

Soder
Soder gets stuck to the tip where it comes out to meet the hot tip then the soder gets backed up then you have to manually pull it back.What I will do it take out the soder shaft and bend it down some to get it away from the iron. I’ll see what happens.Over all it’s a great tool to have for hands free.

Worthless in every way
Let me enumerate the many ways in which this product doesnât work: The wire jams constantly and the cover to undo the jams has to be pried off with a flat screwdriver, it canât be opened by hand- the plastic tab to open it is malformed. Resolving a jam wastes nearly a meter of wire. The wire doesnât connect with the soldering tip even if it does feed through. The whole point is to not have to position the wire with your other hand so that hand is free to do other things but you need to use that hand to use a tool to push the wire to make the wire touch. And EVEN THEN the wire doesnât melt properly!! Worthless.

Awesome tool to have around, the self feeder works firm for me. Using this soldering gun frees up one hand making soldering easier in general. Would recommend.
