works as intended at small mpg cost
Basically you just plug in and forget itâs there. Takes only a few seconds. Works exactly as advertised, zero instances of switching to v4 function once installed. I havenât really experienced more apparent power that some others described but certainly havenât lost power. I have experienced a 5%-10% decrease in mileage but still have seen 21-22mpg highway mpg in my 2017 GMC 1500 5.3 on relatively flat drives. Oddly I seem to have greater mpg loss in city driving than highway but Iâve only had this for a thousand or so miles. Truck had 70k miles when this was installed. Iâm leaving it on and living with the mpg loss as insurance for preventing engine failure. I do change oil on recommended cycle, now 5k miles as well.

I have a 2012 Silverado with 110k miles & 2016 Tahoe 80k, The Range has brought piece of mind and quiet driving. I havent had it long enough to notice any difference with oil consumption or fuel levels yet. The Silverado on avg is close to 2 qts low oil between changes, (Not burning oil) hopefully the range helps, The transition between gears driving local has significantly improved. No more shutter and flutter while driving local or within that 35-45 mph, no more clunk or knocks when cruising in town. I can swap the Range between the 2 vehicles without any issues and it works flawlessly with both. I wish I knew of this long ago. Full V8 power all time is the way I prefer it. I’ve had it connected for up to 4 days without starting the vehicle and it started no problem (upstate NY weather in Nov) If I’m planning a long road trip perhaps I’ll disconnect and attempt to use the Fuel management as intended. For local driving and short hwy exit to exit, the range will stay connected. Absolutely worth it compared to engine repair or permanent afm delete.

I am in Australia. Ordered through Amazon. I read as many reviews I could find. Used in the Chev 1500 Silverado for a week or so and found it to be as advertised. Can’t fault it at this time.

I knew the v4-v8 will one day fail on my truck. Then I heard this device keeps it in v8 permanently until I decide to unplug it. Itâs been working as it said it would, and Iâm actually getting better fuel mileage.
