Great quality, great value.
I bought it to replace a âLonerâ brand iron that finally died after 50 years.This iron seems to be an upgrade at a fraction of the price.It has an off/on button and temp up/down buttons. It also has a temperature read out.It heats up fast and regulates the temperature well. It came with several replacement tips of different configurations.The zippered case is a nice touch. Just be sure to let it cool down before putting it in the case.

Works Great
So far it works great. You can set the temperature you want and it gets there very quickly. If you aren’t going to use it for a few minutes you can press the on/off button to off to save the tip. When ready to solder some more you can simply push the button again and it turns on and gets to the temp quickly. I solder at high temps so it’s hard on the tips.

It works okay
I bought this because I needed a small soldering iron for small repairs and crafting and I wanted a wood burner also for crafts. Havenât tried the wood burner yet so canât speak to how it works. I guess the soldering iron is okay although I was unable to get it to solder a metal butterfly back on a metal perfume bottle, my main reason for the purchase.

Excellent starter to to go kit.
Everything you need to get started, or if you need a to go kit to help someone. It really is complete. If you are new, keep in mind you want to keep the plastic part of the iron on the soldering iron stand. If you put the metal part on it, it will take away the heat from the tip. Nice that the temperature is adjustable. Keep in mind that is the temp it will reach and attempt to keep. It takes a minute or so to reach operating temp, and if you are trying to solder say an old solder joint that you are reheating, some of the heat will be taken out of the tip but the temp on the iron won’t indicate that. The indicator is just to tell you what temp the iron will reach. Tip tinned nicely, so I’m assuming all the others will as well. Everything you will need is here to get you started or take care of you on the go.
