Perfect for adding threaded inserts to 3D printed parts!
I purchased this kit specifically to add threaded inserts to my 3D Printed parts and for that it has worked flawlessly. I’ve also added a couple of inserts to injection molded ABS and had no issues at all.I’ve used the M2, M3, M4 and M5 inserts for several parts printed in PLA Plus, PETG and ABS.Setting up the iron with the appropriate insert adapter is simple and, assuming the holes you intend to seat the insert into are sized appropriately, there is no mess to clean up afterwards.This kit came in at a price-point that tempered my expectations significantly, so I was quite surprised by the quality of everything when it arrived.I’d definitely buy this again, but suspect I’ll never have to – except to refill the inserts, hopefully the seller stocks those in the near future.If you’re looking to use these for 3D Printed parts, I highly recommend this kit.

Works well
I haven’t really had the need until now to buy one of these. I used to just use my soldering station to push a couple brass nuts into my printed parts. I’ve been doing a lot more parts lately and especially in smaller thread size so I thought it was about time to buy a tool. This one works well, has a lot of tips. The temp control on this pen seems like a good idea if you want to be extra careful, I just use it on high. Haven’t melted anything yet.

My first heat sink
I think I definitely got a decent kit for very affordable price. Which allowed me to see how easy the repairs could be and still be a quality fix. The kit is perfect size to let you know whether or not youâre gonna find to be a useful investment.

Works great on 3D printed parts!
Used it to add some heat set inserts to a 3D printed case I made. Worked as expected and came with everything needed to get started and is a great price, should’ve bought it sooner!

Much easier than other options!
This is much easier than using an iron to heat and push inserts into 3d prints. Recommended.
