Great
One of the best quality portable soldering torches that Iâve found⦠but try not to use it longer that 5 minutes or a time or it will heat up the very small rubber hose that connects the tip to the valve and will start to leak and your torch will fail.. but let it cool down for about 5 minutes in between and your good.

Perfect kit for portable cord free soldering and torching.
I owned one of these for 10+ years before the soldering tip wore out and became too blunt to use anymore. I looked into buying a replacement tip but for just a bit more money you can buy this whole kit. The unit is small and fits nicely in your hand. Gives you lots of control when using it. Heats up very quickly. Much faster than an electric soldering iron.I especially like the attachment for heat shrinking. They call it a hot air blower tip. Because it doesnât have a flame you donât have to worry much at all about burning heat shrink tubing. The butane reservoir is quite large and lasts a long time between refills, even when using at max power.I recommend getting a soldering tip cleaner and tinning powder to maintain it. Otherwise it will corrode and break down like my first tip did.Overall highly recommend this torch after over 10 years of experience with it!

A little temperamental.
I loved this thing for the first hour Of use I put on this soldering iron. After that first hour though. Not so much. For whatever reason after I fire it up and itâs been sitting for 30-45 seconds warming up, the flow of butane goes very erratic and will completely go out. Unless I start to fluctuate the small lever up and down. Iâm not sure what would cause this to happen. I treat my tools very very well. With that in mind, I bought the best butane I could find. Itâs made by Xikar. I was debating buying another Iroda to keep with me at work, but I decided to hold off, for now, to see if the one I have gets better after using it for a while. Only time will tell. If you’re looking for a soldering iron you can use anywhere I would try to find something other than the Iroda.Edit: I have owned and used this Soldering Iron for a while now. I am more happy with the soldering iron than I was initially. Itâs still a little temperamental and consumes fuel pretty quick. It is However very convenient for small jobs where you donât have a power source very close and/or it would take longer to get cords strung out than the soldering will take. I would recommend the Iroda soldering iron, just make sure your expectations are in line.

Great for making perfect holes in SEG
While I don’t use this for soldering the chisel tip works perfectly for what I bought this for which is making needed holes in SEG that will not cause it to fray or come apart… It is extremely accurate once warmed up to the proper temperature… And will make even the most specific of shapes it is like drawing with a pen

Bad product
It failed within an hour of use time. It developed some kind if internal fuel blockage, and refuses to light. You can’t even hear gas running through it. I went to my 30 tear old radio shack butane soldering iron

Really wanted to like this
First I do like the packaging, size and case. Other than that it under performed harbor freight Schneider brand. The lighter does not light the torch unless the torch tip is on. A manual lighter sometimes lights it but sometimes no gas is heard or present. Moving the on off several times so far has worked to eventually light it. Once lit, it becomes even more unstable, sputtering constantly. On high the flame almost dissappears and medium or low is the hottest. I wish it would have worked because it is smaller than the HF but twice the money and I was looking to replace the HF which has been in use for over 2 years. Sorry but this one is a bust. Will be returning.Edit; Second one works perfect and really is an awesome tool. Even if you do get a bad one it’s worth sending it back. It’s like what are the chances of getting a bad Bic lighter ? It happens

It seems a very handy little soldering gun for the money, my only criticism would be the case is flimsy, but I have a 3d printer measured up and made my own
