The trim plastic was ABS I found the correct rod due to the quick easy reference guide
After receiving my mini welder 7 I put it to the first test, My wife had a broken piece of plastic molding on her Cadillac, I was not looking forward to ordering a new one thru cadillac the price increase because the car is a Cadillac is ridiculous. In 15 minutes the wife and I and her trim repaired thanks to the mini welder. The trim plastic was ABS I found the correct rod due to the quick easy reference guide.Bang done fixed and back installed on car. This thing will pay for its self in no time. I wish I had this years ago I have pitched plastic wrap around bumpers because of broken tabs. Not no more I will be using the mini welder and saving money. Hi highly recommend this, if you are the type of person who does not like given your money away when you can fix it yourself for pennies and a little of your time. This is a Must-Have Welder!!!
Initially I purchased this to repair a vibration fracture in my ATV Fender. Along with the Welder Kit, the Mfg includes a DVD mini-Course. If you follow their instructions, you will be AMAZED by all the plastic junk which you can repair (and save from the junkyard)(saving your wallet as well). I followed their instructions, and Welded/Repaired my ATV Fender’s creeping Crack. After I finished sanding and painting, you cannot even tell there was a Crack. This Welding Kit is truly a worthwhile tool; and if you do any repairs, this one is a MUST-have. As more and more things are being fabricated with sooooooooo many different formulations of different Plastics, having this Kit will pay for itself many times over. Hint: Prepping the Materials, and “Choosing the proper Welding Rod” are KEY to a Great Weld; don’t care if it’s Metal or Plastic. My preference in Welding Rod for Welding Plastics (thus far) is their ‘FiberFlex’ Rods. (Same material used in Automotive Bumper Covers. Very-Very Durable, and Bonds well with many other Plastic types).

Works Great!
Keep in mind that I am a new user of this product. I weld, paint, fabricate, and machine most materials. This product has saved me more money than it cost because I was able to repair a part for my business that I could not get a replacement part for. The online videos are quality and easy to understand. Since I purchased it and reviewed the how to videos I have found more items to repair hat I didn’t realize could be repaired.

I don’t usually leave reviews at all. I read the reviews on this and decided I would give it a try. Just like another person that reviewed it, I used it on my 2003 gmc dually bedside. It worked perfect. It did everything it said it would do. I had larger gaps than others have filled and it worked flawless. It takes a few minutes to get used to the flow and holding it. After that it works seamless. Thank you so much this just saved me $1800.00.

Very useful tool to have, we are a plastic generation. Fixed tractor grass-shield, RV grey water tank, my Cell phone holster, all kinds of things waiting for me. Not likely to mess with fenders or such aesthetic items, though it is possible. I’m waiting for the all in one – tig/stick/nitro-fuser welding box. The unit stopped working and USC sent new parts in 3 days.The bad; all the things don’t snap well into the case so If your a serious OCD tool controller, you will want to work on that. For myself its better than a tool bag so I added some Velcro wire ties it’s good enough for me.Ease of use? Practice makes perfect.

I bought this to repair the bedsides on my chevy 3500 dually. I could not believe how easy the repair was and how strong the bond is. I had only finished one side and the repaired piece was already strong enough to lift the entire bedside with and shake it back and forth. I did both sides and can kick it, knee it, etc, and it behaves just like the weld wasn’t there. I have used this to fix multiple other plastic pieces around the shop and house and couldn’t be happier. Additionally, I called Polyvance directly to find out why this kit was so much cheaper than the one they sell directly on their website. His response was that it is exactly the same kit and it was to encourage people to buy from Amazon since it is so much easier for them to distribute that way instead of selling direct. Overall, I am very happy with this!!

This is a an amazing set
Never would have thought that I needed this before, but I did.So I cracked a car door panel. Specifically the passenger door panel in my wife’s car. My fault. So I go to the dealer and try to order a new one. You want how much? $700? No, not the gold plated with silver embossing and diamond studded one, just a plain panel.So I query some friends on what is a better means of repairing the panel. A trip to a car stereo store, and talk to an installation technical later, I find out that there are means of repairing plastic that welds it together stronger and better than new.So I peruse Amazon and find this beauty. This set comes with everything needed to weld many a piece of plastic together. The instructions are very clear. There is a booklet included that provided information on how to weld many different breaks and cracks in various types of plastic.Overall, this is quite handy. How did I get this far in life without having this knowledge?
