Oatey Safe-Flo Lead-Free Solder Kits include wire solder, flux, abrasive cloth and an application brush to make the soldering job easier. Lead-free tinning flux is a smooth, non-runny paste that applies easily and spreads evenly. Tinning flux allows exceptional bonding and cleans, fluxes and pre-tins copper piping to provide uniform solder flow. The lead-free solder wire has a low melting point and will flow into the seated joint, making it ideal for copper plumbing installation. The abrasive cloth is used to remove oxidation from the copper surfaces prior to fluxing and the brush allows an easier application of the flux to the piping. Oatey Plumbing Solder Kit worked great. Nice solder joints. I liked the assurance that it was all ok for potable water. Nice handy little assemblage of soldering supplies for potable water (drinking water). There was even a little brush in the kit for the flux. Nice. It made really nice solder connections. No leaks. Looked nice. Flux seemed to work well.

A decent kit if it fits your uses
This kit is great for soldering copper pipe, the addition of silver makes joints made with this kit even stronger. The silver content of the solder is quite low but is fine for copper water pipe. What I really like about this kit is the flux, I use it for almost any soldering job.

used to remove a fridge water supply and worked perfectly, the flux and solder will last a LOT longer than you would expect as well

Worked Great.
Used this kit to replace an outdoor spigot on my house. The kit had some sand paper to prep the copper. Which came in handy. Flux helped take the solder right into the gap. Just remember to heat the pipe then let off with torch. Heat from the pipe will eventually melt solder. I recommend this to anyone.

Great buy for those who don’t need to sweat fittings very often.
I needed to do a bit of plumbing and was very pleased to find an inexpensive solution. I don’t sweat copper fittings very often and hated to invest in a large amount of solder and flux. This was a nice combo and it worked well. Had no leaks!
