Use the ampere force generated by the electromagnetic field in the electromagnetic system to accelerate the metal rod. Perfect for home education or school science projects.
【Easy to Assemble & User Manual】During the assembly process, the electromagnetic coil model kit requires less soldering, and more needs to connect the circuit and assemble the components. Not exactly a beginner project but a good one with experienced supervision or a basic skill set. Our package comes with a paper English User Manual. Fun and easy to put together
Not gonna lie I was laughing when I ordered this thing. And sure it won’t help you take over the world, or even act a hole punch for paper, nevertheless it’s really fun to play with.

Works as advertised…
Just a fun project to build what amounts to a miniature rail gun. Shoots little metal rods about 30 feet. Not really powerful, rod won’t penetrate a piece of paper held in front of the gun, but demonstrates the principle and is a real conversation starter. That’s the good part. The bad part is the instructions that come with it are about worthless. You need to download the PDF file (available on the sale page) to get the real instructions, which are much better and include photos that show exactly how it goes together. It’s also billed as a “soldering practice” kit, and for that I’ll say yes, it will test your soldering skills. I would NOT recommend this as a first kit for someone just learning to solder, but if you have some skill at soldering, it’s not too bad.

smoking and then not firing
I followed the instructions but first had an issue with one of the parts that clamp down on the copper wire as the screw was stripped and the voltage was stopping at one point causing it to smoke. then the buttons stopped working as intended with the display giving random numbers. I don’t know if this is a one off but so far it has not been working no matter what I do.

defective parts ð¤·
The overall quality of the kit seemed to be good, however, the cap wouldnât charge past about 18v which is far from 200v. pleasantly surprised by the clear directions. wish it worked. star for directions.
