Easy to assemble
The package included printed installation steps, parts list, and schematic. 3 kits are included so I think this kit is a good value.I added a pin header to easily connect power. The pin header is not included in the kit. Alternatively you can solder a power connection directly to the board.Some tips for assembly:LED’s need to be installed in the correct orientation. Printed on the board there is an icon of an arrow with a line on the side of it. The shorter lead on the LED should be on the side with the line.Ensure you install the IC with the notch matching the notch printed on the board. There is a capacitor that should be installed in the proper orientation. You will notice a white stripe down the side of the capacitor designating the negative side. Match this side with the white stripes on the board.The resistors can be installed in any orientation. The orientation of the other components should be obvious based on the marking on the board.Resistor Color Codes:Brown Black Orange – 10k OhmsRed Red Black – 22 OhmsBrown Black Yellow – 100k OhmsYellow Violet Orange – 47k OhmsThe rate of the pulsating can be adjusted by turning the potentiometer. Once I adjusted the dial I needed to toggle the power using the power switch to set the new pulsation speed.

Great value
I liked it, very easy, my only beef is that it didn’t come with a power source connector, but I had a hookup for a 9 volt battery lying around.

Learnt a new skill with the hearts
This is my absolute first time ever trying soldering. So I got the station on sale and then got myself these hearts. As you can see the first picture horrible job on my solder, not the product fault, just myself don’t know what I was doing. Then second photo started without the Tip Tinner and iron was not hot enough but being contact the board too long also burnt it. 3rd time as a charm as they always say…got myself the tip tinner and the Yosker Flux Pen, and tried couple more plain metal on the 2nd board since it’s already burnt, and found out with little flux and the tinner make the job a world different and so as you can see the result I got my 3rd board works. This $10 I learnt how to solder and know it works too. I’m proud of myself hehehe

Doesn’t come with any way to power it out of the box and directions are not complete
The first major problem is that it doesn’t tell you which resistor is which. Three of the resistors are the same so you can easily guess where they go, but the other three are all different values and there is nothing to indicate where those go on the board. I had to Google a resistor chart to figure it out. The included manual shows a picture of the resistors and where they should go but since resistors are COLOR coded and the manual is printed in B&W, it’s useless. The next problem is You have to purchase separately a AA battery holder. The part is like a dollar and should of been included. People buying this kit are new to electronics and soldering and won’t know this part is missing (doesn’t say in the description or the included manual). It does say that it needs 3-4 volts, but most people new to electronics won’t realize what this actually means. It’s very disappointing to assemble something you’ve never done before and having it not work.

Great kit for beginner
This is a great kit to practice your soldering skill. It comes with 3 identical heart shape and the only thing different is the color of the LED. They also gave you a few extra LED just in case you burn some. The trick for me was to just solder one of it’s lead (the positive) side first. Then flip it over and push the LED just a bit and apply a little bit of heat on the other side of the LED and it should stay nice and flat on the PCB. I might make some kind of 3d printed enclosure for this kit and if I do I’ll share it on thingiverse.

Amazing Little Kit
This Kit was an amazing little kit, it was easy to build and it was also a great practice for soldering. It can be a fun DIY activity and the result is a cool mesmerizing heart. Amazing Kit!/

These are fun to put together. When you turn them on, all the lights fade up and down together, and you can adjust the brightness with the dial. Very simple circuit, but very inexpensive also!
