Splinters beware light and tweezers are a game changer
From the first glance of these tweezers I totally thought that this whole thing was not that impressive⦠but after using them my first impression was totally wrong. These are great!I am not sure of a better way that they could have attached a very bright LED to the front of well built tweezers and keep both the accuracy of the tweezers and great illumination. So how they did it is impressive.The light output is very bright from the microscopic LED. It lights the surface very well and helps to find the splinter or such to extract.The tweezers also are very good and are very accurate.Even though they market it as tweezers for the ear, these are perfectly suited for a splinter or other thing the makes it way in your skin.As for charging⦠I wish that it was USB type C, but it is fine with the micro usb.All in all a great pair of lighted tweezers that help (a little better than most) to get the job of removing things from you or your skin done.

Not better than the cheaper options
I tried these out since the light is on the tip thinking it would help visually. It had a good amount of light however it didnât really help with the depth perception and the tweezer itself did not grab very well either.

Tweezers specifically for ear wax removal
Having read a couple of other reviews, I want to address a few errors/misconceptions.One reviewer stated that the battery for these tweezers uses a USB Type C cable. It is NOT. It’s a mini-USB connection at one end of the cable & the standard USB (A) connection on the other. You have to provide your own charging adaptor block.Another reviewer stated that it took several tries to turn off the light. Granted it’s only one tiny little LED light, but it does have 3 brightness settings which are cycled through by pressing the on/off button. The fourth press turns it off. So, it’s ON-MED-HI-OFF that you get by pressing the button.That review also said that they’d expected them to be roughly normal tweezer size and have a strong grip for plucking hairs. I, too, have ordered items with a specific perception about what’ll arrive only to find that what I’d thought I’d be getting wasn’t at all what I got. If you’re looking for lighted, hair-plucking tweezers they’re out there – and at a much cheaper price – but these are not the droids you’re looking for if that’s what you want.These are long, slender tweezers designed to dislodge & remove ear wax. Certainly you’ll find other uses for them, but you can only push the envelope so far – and hair plucking just isn’t in their repertoire.Now, are they worth the price? Like I said before, there are other tweezers with lights that sell in sets of multiple tweezers in the price range of $7-$14 (individual tweezer prices work out to $2.33 – $3.50). These specific tweezers are pretty exorbitant at nearly $30 but they’re rechargeable (the cheaper kind need AG3 button batteries) and more slender to reach in tighter areas.It’s your call if the benefits these offer are worth their price point.

Good for adults.
First time using such a tweezer to pick ear dirt. Iâve used mostly the scoop version.I like that it is lighted. It helps to see dirt in the ear. It can only be used for adults. I tried using for my kids and their ears are too small to fit this tweezer.Using it on my wife, it helps to understand why she keeps ignoring me. Her ear was filled with dirt. Hopefully, after picking up all the dirt, she can hear me better.

ok for small parts, homemade look
I got these for working with small surface mount electronics components, and for that they are decent. I’m not sure I would use them for the suggested purpose of pulling wax out of my ears. They also don’t close strongly enough to pluck hairs or dig out splinters.The construction looks homemade. It’s a normal set of long tweezers with an LED attached with heat shrink near one point, and the battery/control module attached to the other end, also with heatshrink. A flat, near invisible, connecting cable runs between the two, adhered to the side of the leg.There’s no charge level indicator or way to tell if the unit is charging or full. You just plug it in via micro-USB and wait a while I guess.The light is ok, but not a huge benefit in a decently lit work area. It would be much more helpful digging around in an ear or other dark hole. There are three brightness levels that can be cycled by pressing the power button. The 4th press turns it back off.If you don’t mind the DIY appearance of these, they aren’t bad for picking up and manipulating small parts. Not worth your money
Poorly packaged, and the build quality is embarrassing. These tweezers are just two pieces of steel that are joined at the end using heat shrink. Just normal wire heat shrink that has the company name printed on with like a label maker. The LED is a very small SMD LED also held on with heat shrink. Please don’t spend money on this product as it is made very poorly and can’t really even grab anything.
