very basic but works
So itâs a no frills kit and gets the job done. However i do have a few issues. one is as others have pointed out no instructions other then the card that shows a picture of the board however its upside down. took me a minute to figure this out so i just totally ignored the card. also its probably the cheapest paper iâve ever seen and i dont know did they use finger paint? the colors of the bands on the resistors arenât anywhere close to what they should be.

Learning how to solder
This is the perfect DIY learn how to solder starter point this will teach you how to identify different capacitors and how to read ohms to make sure that you’re getting the appropriate amount of electricity passing through each circuit. It’s a very basic plan, the most difficult part about it is being able to see the thin colored lines that identify the different ohms rating. But if you take your time and use a magnifying glass it’s well worth the experience.

Fun Little Experiment
Most of the parts are decent quality and the overall build is challenging yet rewarding. The only issue I had was the battery connection wire didn’t work which caused me lots of aches and pains to figure out if I shorted something on the board or if the connecter was faulty. In the end, the connector was found defective. In the pictures above you see the makeshift contraption I had to make to get the product to work. Additionally, a light would not work (the now red one). I believe this was my fault but it should be noted in case anyone else has this problem. Really great tool to learn and had a blast building it’s just sad that the end result was poor from a faulty male plug-in.

Awesome first time soldering kit
Worked perfectly, was able to get it to work my first time through! Lots of different little things to solder, different sizes and quantities, and repetition = practice = progress.Thanks for showing me soldering can be easy

Didnât work
Mine didnât work at all at all when I finished. In its defense, I am new to soldering. But in my defense, this was the 5th such kit Iâve done, and the first one not to work. I double checked everything and didnât notice any obvious issues.So Iâm knocking off two stars for it possibly being the kitâs fault that it doesnât work, but Iâm not taking off any more stars in case it was mine.

Perfect practice kit
Disregard any comets regarding lack of instructions or parts list. All information needed for assembly including list of parts is printed directly on the circuit board. If you need additional instructions go with something more basic like a lego set. The only info not provided is how to read the resister color codes, this is quickly resolved with a 5 second internet search.

Just doesnt work
I have years of experience soldering. I bought one of these kits and assembled it with my son. I was very disappointed when the kit did not work. But, it was his first try, so I ordered another one and made sure the welds were even cleaner this time. It still didnt work. Reading the reviews I found many other people who had problems with faulty wiring and quality control.
