Great for a starter kit
Heats up very fast and is perfect for any quick odd solder job that pops up. Variety of tip sizes and how easily you can switch them is very convenient. Decent quality for the price. Honestly surprised me a bit. Was half expecting a cheap, flimsy product. I only needed it to replace a small film capacitor in my guitar amp and was in and out in a few minutes.

My first temp control iron, best I’ve used! Don’t judge! 🙂
I bought this kit as recommended by this mouse nerd guy on Youtube, which I viewed before replacing the old switches on my beloved Logitech G400 mouse. Got the kit, turned the temp up about midway, and started desoldering the old switches. This is the first time I’ve had sufficient heat to solder quickly and effectively, and it was GLORIOUS. My old iron was a cheap radio shack ‘turn on and go make a coffee before starting’ model, and the difference is night and day. I’m serious. If you, like myself have been using some cheap iron and wondering why it takes so long, GET THIS KIT. It is CHEAP and EFFECTIVE. This thing gets to temp so fast, and the other bits are useful too I’m sure, but I only used the iron. Grab some desolder wick and some flux elsewhere and you’ll be set for many things. Best value, easily.

Nice soldering kit.
Works well. I like that I can adjust the temperature to work with what I’m soldering. Changing tips is a little aggravating but simple enough. The stand could be more sturdy.

Power and versatility
Iâm new to assembling electrical circuits. This soldering iron is perfect from my perspective as a beginner. It is temperature controlled and heats up fast. It also comes with fluxed solder, a mount, sponge, and assortment of tips. The instructions were clear, and I had no issues with my first circuit project.The only thing I would like to find included would be something to wick away excess solder around joints.

Very good for the price
This works excellent for the price and comes with everything you would need. You could add on some other stuff to make your soldering experience better – like goggles, flux, 3rd hands etc – but this is all you need to get the job done. The temp control does work to modulate the temperature, but it’s accuracy is unknown. Some have mentioned these just get too hot and melt themselves. That is probably possible but I have not experienced anything close. I think it goes without saying, that you shouldn’t leave something like this unattended whilst hot.Most notable thing, this iron heats up super quickly. Like within a minute you can start soldering. Because of this, I would get all setup and then solder. If I had to make changes, adjustments, strip more wires etc, I’d unplug the iron until I was ready to go again. Simple and logical safety measures. In the past, I would leave them on because they take forever to get hot, but this one really surprised me and made quick wiring jobs much less of a hassle.Sure, this iron may melt and burn some stuff. Maybe it doesn’t maintain a proper temperature or work as good as a $100 iron. If you’re paranoid about it catching fire or are the type to leave equipment plugged in whilst unattended, maybe getting something a little more fool proof. If you solder delicate circuitry on the daily or make a living from it, probably invest more money. If you just need something for the odd repair jobs here and there, car repairs, home electronics, hobby grade RCs, small builds or projects, this will do you well. Just plug it in after you’ve stripped wires and got stuff setup and unplug it if you pause soldering for a couple minutes and… don’t walk away from it.

Very good for price!
Very happy with product. Great price, quality is decent, thermostat is a bonus on a cheaper unit, can lower heat for sensitive applications. Has many tips for most jobs. Would buy again!
