Crossing the LCR Bridge
If youâre still troubleshooting with just a multimeter, you need to add the ZOYI LCR meter to your arsenal. This tool is a multi-functional electronic components tester analyzer. It is widely useful for tests of L (inductance), C (capacitance), R (resistance), D (diode), V (voltage) and F (frequency). This allows you to probe components unpowered and still in circuit for failures. Light weight PEN design with tweezer-sized tips, allowing you to probe even SMD component boards.Larger clear display, switchable to right or left hand orientation. Auto-detects the component under test and measures the appropriate parameters.My sample worked well with firmware 1.5 but has been upgrade using firmware 1.7 to Data Storage & Export functionality. This allows the LCR tester to save component test records. The tester can then be connect to a PC with the included USB C cable, to transfer all the data as an ASCII record. Also included are spare tweezer tips and a protective zipper case.

An excellent but expensive LCR tweezer
At $40 this is an expensive LCR tweezer. It has an auto mode which try to detect the type: resistor, capacitor, or inductor. This mode is not foolproof and often is wrong for out of specs components or trying to measure any inboard components. It can store measurements to be downloaded later. There are two voltage settings and three frequency settings. The item has a small rechargeable battery which will provides several hours of uses. It also have the ability to flip the display for a left or right handed use. It comes with some extra tips and a USB-C charging cable (but no charging adapter.) Everything is inside a hard carrying case. It would be great if the diode mode can output more than 3V to measure LEDs.

Nice rechargable LCR meter
This is a good LCR meter. It’s pretty easy to use but you really need to know what you are doing with one if you are doing real troubleshooting of SMD components. The case is a nice inclusion as are the extra tips. I had to upgrade the firmware on my device, but that’s typical of electronics and shouldn’t bother anyone who needs a tool like this. I’d recommend this LCR meter if you need one, especially for the price.

Convenient
This highly compact multimeter is ideally suited for rapid continuity checks on circuit boards. While it may lack the extensive range and versatility of a full-sized multimeter, it proves sufficient for certain tasks. Additionally, it is effective in testing fuses within automobiles.

includes case
Quite surprised that it came with a case and 4 extra contacts, a USB A->C charging cable, and the instruction booklet, making it a nice all-in-one package. The case even has a foam block around the meter to prevent it from moving around in the case while protecting the pin tips.The display is quite bright and easy to read. Auto works well for the most part, only switching from uF to ohms on one of my dead capacitors. The tips are ~2cm apart when resting and can be squeezed in to basically touch. It might be difficult to work around some larger components, but this is most likely to be used on tiny components anyway, so it shouldn’t really be an issue.

My new favorite test tool
I can already tell Iâm going to use this almost every day. It tests components and shows their values (resistance, capacitance, etc.) almost instantly. It comes in a nice case with form-fitting foam insert that holds the meter securely. But honestly the case probably doesnât matter to me since Iâll always have this meter sitting on my bench, ready to use.

Used it a few times on SMD type boards – ok for inductance, but resistance and diodes you get all sorts of random results. Maybe I got a lemon, but really not impressed – could not diagnose an electronic circuit with this thing.
