Easy to assemble.
This kit was easier to assemble than I thought it would be. It was a fun project and I would suggest you download the full instructions from the QR code.One thing that is important when assembling is to be sure you have the polarity correct on the lights or they won’t light up. One of mine didn’t light up and I had to turn it around.It has a decent sound quality for little speakers although not really loud.This is a good kit for beginners or to practice your soldering skills.

Cheap doorstop
Difficult instructions, obviously written by someone who doesn’t speak English as a native language. The LEDs never have functioned properly. The sound quality was okay, until it just stopped working.On a positive note, it was good soldering practice and not expensive.

Not that simple!
Not for beginners, well maybe patient and careful beginners with a steady hand. Pretty complicated little project. Which I am actually really excited about but looking at it the other night I realized this is a serious project! Also a little smaller then I expected but this is really a cool rainy day type of thing. For sure not something you can do in one sitting! Everything is included and needs to be put together! ð§âð

Cute project, take your time and limit expectations
Itâs a great learning project and should be done by someone intermediate in skill set. Not fit for beginners Iâm afraid. Sounds very tinny with capacitors (bass blockers) on speakers, so I removed them and tested again.. sounds great for a project kit, lots of treble.. no bass, not didnât expect audiophile quality anyways. Instructions are well written for someone with at least intermediate experience and can be completed within an hour. Iâd say it greats for dads that want to teach their 8-12 yo how to solder electrical connections and to give them something kinda useful when completed. The acrylic will break if torqued too high, again.. common sense for an intermediate skill set. Would recommend.. just be patient and read instructions, everything is written for an easy assembly. For us advanced users, there a circuit print out with r/c/i values listed for locations on board, go to town.

Fragile plastic case
So Iâll finish soldering the rest, but I had an issue with trying to get the switch in this tough spot, so the plastic panel snapped in two. I kind of think the switch being placed vertical is the problem, I finished a similar project that had the switch horizontal making it a little easier to put my thumbs in a spot that makes it a bit easier to push it in, but both projects make it feel like itâs going to snap when putting the switch in. In this case the fear came trueâ¹ï¸ (I was also using the instructions that you can scan to on your phone which helps a little) Maybe if there were some tips on where to place your hands to make it less likely to break would help prevent the plastic piece to break.

Insufficient instruction and poor quality sound
The instruction was inadequate, put together in incorrect order and very insufficient. Instruction is out of order, incomplete and not enough starting with the connections of the speakers. After a perfect soldering, the sound quality was scratchy. This kit is made in China, I even had Chinese born engineers looked at the kit and instructions, they couldnât figure out how it all can fit together. DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER KIT MADE IN CHINA.

Such an awesome project to share with the kids!
I keep ordering these projects and I am never disappointed! My kiddos love them! I’ve never been very decent at soldering, since I have been doing these with my kids I can say I am somewhat proficient.
