This is the best solder I’ve ever used — BUT I this isn’t what I received.
This is the best solder I’ve ever used, period. — BUT this isn’t what I received.I’ve been in the electronic and automotive/marine custom fabrication industry for 15 years and this is by far the best flowing and bonding solder. it melts at low temperatures and adheres to a variety of metals, even if they aren’t perfectly clean. I ran out of my spool and found an old spool from almost 10 years ago and it still flowed as if it were brand new. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another brand of electrical solder. Too bad they don’t offer a 10 star rating!!! BUY IT. USE IT. you will LOVE it. Additionally, for thicker gauge wire you can take multiple lengths and twist them together with a cordless drill and flow larger wires and terminals faster.—————————To my dismay the seller shipped me Kester, which is still a good solder (if not the same solder) but the spools Kester uses are cheap and break easily. I can’t send it back because I need it right away. the Installbay spools are thick and won’t break if you drop it. To the SELLER: Don’t ship something out that your customer did not order for any reason without contacting the buyer first. Since the seller technically shipped me the wrong item I will not recommend the SELLER and won’t purchase from them again. If the seller wants me to remove this negative feedback, then send me what I actually ordered. Installbay Solder is made in Mexico, Kester is made in the USA, and the origin on the sellers page says China. It is clear that this seller buys whatever cheap solder is available and ships out to customers.
