Pretty Good, Not Great
For the price this is a nice holder. It does what it says it will, but is rather small so only small boards or wires can be used with it. The materials are great and the optics on the magnifier are really good too. No distortion and it’s easy to focus on the work.But, as others have noted the adjusting clips don’t grip very well at all. No matter how hard I tightened the wing nuts it would still slip on its own occasionally and every time if you bumped the work. What I did and seems to help is to take some sandpaper to the balls on the adjust and rough up the chrome. This added texture grips better.If you want a small tool at a great price, this is a really good choice. Just be aware of the limitations.

Ok if you cant afford anything better
The clamps have a terrible design flaw. The part of the clamp that attaches to the rest of it is 2 thin pieces of metal that wrap around a textured metal post. It rotates and is held on by friction, except the metal is so thin that it bends out of shape the first time you use it. Its not easy to squeeze them back into shape, and you will have to do it every time you use the tool, unless you weld them together. And if they are welded, they no longer rotate.Also, the base is very small, and its easy to tip it over.I can’t return it after how badly I had to mangle and modify it to make it functional.Spend more if you can.

I like that product has lots of gadgets that allow you to grip things you want to work on.Itâs too small and I found myself bumping into bits and pieces whilst soldering.The base isnât heavy enough.
