Cleans things like a pro
Bought this back in April 2021 to clean jewelry and glasses. I use it every few months to clean various items and it does a great job cleaning any items I put in it.Then a few months ago I bought a big cruiser motorcycle that had been sitting unused for 6 years and both its carburetors were stuck solid with varnished fuel. I read about ultrasonic cleaners working wonders on carbs so I took mine apart and oddly enough one carb fit (with the float bowl off). I tossed all the screws, pilot jets, and stuff in with it. Then I boiled some water and poured that into the ultrasonic basin with some dish soap and set it to run for 30 minutes. Did this for each carb individually.Amazingly it worked! A miracle for getting into the fuel circuits that I couldn’t reach with a wire or pipe cleaner. After rinsing and repeating a second time, then blasting their internals with carb cleaner my 25 year old carburetors are like new and the bike runs perfectly.So I would say that for the cheap bastards out there like me who don’t want to spend $200 on an industrial ultrasonic cleaner, this one actually works in a pinch. Just gotta be patient since you can’t cram big stuff into it – might need to flip an item over to “do the other side” so to speak. I’ve used the heck out of mine and it’s still doing great.

Simple to use and does a good job cleaning jewelry and glasses too
A friend told me about this and I got one. I was really surprised at how well it cleaned my eyeglasses! I didn’t realize how grungy my glasses were until I cleaned them and it didn’t take but a few minutes. I have used it on jewelry and it does great. It’s quiet and I like the timer on it. It’s small but holds plenty and the little basket works well to contain necklaces, rings, anything. It’s easy to rinse/clean too. Several of my old costume jewelry rings and bracelets I’d not worn for a while and when I cleaned them they looked like they did when I got them. It made my wedding rings sparkle like crazy 🙂

Perfect for cleaning retainers
I use plastic retainers every night to keep my teeth straight and prevent grinding in my sleep. Keeping them clean and smelling fresh after years of use is a pain. I’ve tried soaking in mouthwash, brushing with a toothbrush and toothpaste, washing with soap and water. Recently my dental hygienist suggested I try a cheap ultrasonic cleaner so I bought this model.It works great! I fill with cold tap water, put my retainers in ensuring there aren’t any trapped air bubbles, and set it for 900 seconds. They come out smelling like nothing (good!). It’s easier and more effective than anything else I’ve tried. After 900 seconds the water is noticeably warmer, but not hot. Plastic retainers can’t get too hot or they lose their shape, so that’s important.For fun, I cleaned several pairs of glasses. It’s amazing and disgusting watching clouds of gunk come off, even after I washed them with soap and water. It must be releasing gunk trapped in places I can’t reach. It was fun to try, but I couldn’t see any difference in clarity through the lenses so I feel not worth doing very often.I took off a star because the machine feels a bit cheap, especially the buttons. Also the body doesn’t appear very water resistant, which is silly because the whole point is to fill and empty water. But for the price this this is definitely a good value for light duty tasks.

I wish I got this jewelry cleaner sooner
I was using the old fashion way of cleaning my jewelry. I decided to try the ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and was pleasantly surprised. It got my jewelry very clean and shining. I have a metal mesh watchband for my Fitbit. I knew it was time to clean it. I took off the band and put in the jewelry cleaner with other jewelry and was amaze at how much dirt was on the watch band. I am glad that I made this purchase.

Loved it so much, I bought a second one!
I received this as a gift and enjoyed it so much that I bought a second one to give as a gift. My husband and I loved seeing how much dirt and grime was removed from our jewellery and watches after the cycles were complete. This is a great way to clean dainty chains or small rings, especially my wedding rings, which are channel set and tend to collect quite a bit of detritus between the stones from every day wear. Would recommend!

Does not work as advertised. Doesn’t do anything at all.
First I tried this with my apple watch band which had some gunk and made dead skin cells on it. 18 minutes in this unit did not clean it off. The gunk wasn’t even that difficult to get off – scratch it with my finger nail and it comes off. Pretty shocked that this unit did nothing.Next I tried my retainer. Did not remove any of the gunk that a toothbrush would easily take care of. I tried various times.Seeing how this did nothing, I tried putting my fingers in it while it was running. I felt faint, tiny bubbles. This unit just doesn’t have the power to do any cleaning.

It did an absolutely wonderful job. I even cleaned a silver pendant that was 75 years old in 5 minutes. I did however use warm tap water and a few drops of Dawn. Best money I ever spent.
