poor instructions
radio was easy to build, has crappy instructions. radio would not work after I built it. all i got was white noise and a hum the display was blinking funny also. I’ve been a ham radio operator since 1990 and have built numorous electronic devices that work. this kit is junk.

Just a fun project!
Make sure you scan the qr code for the best directions. The soldering instructions are well illustrated. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have the power supplyðª

Easy to assemble and works
It was fun to build. Think it took more time building the acrylic case than soldering the parts. The FM radio works okay except when the display is lit up. When the display showing the station is lit there is a really bad hiss sound. (Update: changed all the 100uF caps for 1000uF caps and it really helped the noise.)

No product support
The radio took an enormous amount of time to build and when we did finish building it the sound would not work.No product support was offered. No guidance for troubleshooting.

Very helpful
So I got my kit and put it together and I couldn’t get it to turn on, so I contacted the seller and they were so nice and helpful, they walked me through a few things that maybe I could have done wrong. They explained the stuff I didn’t know. It’s a nice little kit, comes with everything to do the project. Thank you for helping me and being so kind because this was a great learning experience.

I like it
This soldering practice kit offers an excellent platform for honing soldering skills. From the outset, the ISolderStore kit impressed me with its thorough and detailed instructions. The step-by-step guide provided clear and concise directions, making the assembly process straightforward and enjoyable. Even as a novice in soldering, I found the instructions to be incredibly helpful, guiding me through each phase of the project. The soldering practice itself was a satisfying and educational experience. The kit offered ample opportunities to refine my soldering techniques, from securing components to connecting wires. It served as an effective platform to practice soldering both through-hole and surface-mount components, giving me valuable hands-on experience and boosting my confidence in soldering proficiency. The kit’s assembly was surprisingly hassle-free, thanks to the well-organized components and the instructional support. The provided accessories were comprehensive and well-labeled, contributing to a smooth assembly process. I was particularly pleased with the quality of the components, which were well-made and seemed durable.Once completed, the functioning digital FM radio was a highlight. The radio’s performance surpassed my expectations, delivering clear and crisp reception. It was gratifying to witness the fruits of my labor come to life in the form of a functional device. The radio’s performance also highlighted the effectiveness of the soldering practice, as proper soldering connections were pivotal in achieving the radio’s functionality. However, it’s worth noting that the kit’s acrylic casing proved to be a potential weak point. While the radio itself performed admirably, the acrylic shell felt fragile and prone to breakage. Handling the radio required caution to prevent accidental damage to the casing. It would be advisable for future iterations of the kit to consider sturdier casing materials to enhance its overall durability.
