Tips:
1.Please be very careful when using the tools, better keep them in a place that children cannot reach.
2. Turn off when you are not using the pen iron. And please don’t let the soldering iron work at high temperatures.
3. Do not apply too much pressure when welding. As long as the iron tip touches the soldering point completely, heat can be transferred.
4. To avoid oxidation, please clean the soldering iron tip and “tin-tin” all sides of the tip with a layer of solder after use. If there is black oxide on the iron tip, please clean it with a damp sponge first. This very beginner-friendly iron should be in every simple toolbox of every home, especially if you have a variety of children’s toys!
The optimum maximum temperature for a soldering iron is 400℃.Prolonged use of 450℃ will reduce the life of the soldering iron.
1.First of all, make sure that you have all the necessary elements available to carry out your weld.
2.Choose the right tip type.
3.Plug in the iron, set the appropriate temperature, and wait about 30 seconds for the tip to heat.
4.Then check that the parts are clean and not rusted, and clean them if necessary.
5.Then put the parts in contact and apply the hot tip to the contact point.
6.Be careful not to touch the tip or hot parts with bare hands (wear gloves if necessary).

Works well
This item comes with a variety of points. I need to connect some wires that were too short to use conventional wire nuts on. So I put them face to face, twisted a little bit, soldered them and the item is back in business. You control the temperature range and there is a light inside the handle to show you that it is active.

Update
I got curious about why the iron quit so I took it apart. Two wires, the neutral and the ground were pulled loose from the circuit board, obviously my fault. I must have accidentally pulled against the iron rather hard as the wires were soldered and fastened securely with the tiniest zip tie I have ever seen. Anyway didnât want to cost the sell as was my fault.Ordered in February quit in August. Was not very expensive but also wasnât used very much either. Did I get my monies worth. Maybe, but I expected more. While it worked it was great. Got hot fast, stayed hot. Tip was difficult to keep tinned, maybe not the best tip material but ok. Element did not burn out, the light does not come on and no heat.

Beginners, read this
If you’re buying this soldering iron, chances are you’re a beginner. Maybe this will be your first time ever soldering anything, and — like me two weeks ago — you know nothing. Since the item includes zero instructions, here’s a bit of info I hope you find useful.(1) This is *not* a piece of worthless junk, as some reviewers assert. It’s a fine-enough product if you’re new at this and are not ready to dish out ~$100 for a really good soldering station. It’s good to learn on.(2) Google “tinning” and watch a few videos on soldering tip maintenance before you first use this. Without proper maintenance, it will seem like the soldering iron has stopped working (not getting hot enough = not melting nothin’) after a few days. But it’s working fine; the tip needs to be tinned and cleaned.(3) What the heck is that little sponge for? It’s to wipe off the soldering iron’s tip to keep it clean while you work. Make sure the sponge is moist! I was an idiot and used it completely dry until … see #2. Also consider spending $10 on the following item, which is a different and slightly more effective way to clean the tip: “Hakko 599B-02 Wire-type soldering iron tip cleaner.”(4) This iron has a little temperature dial that goes from 200 to 450 degrees Celcius. Hotter is better, so might as well crank it up to 11 for full soldering superpower, right? Wrong. For most applications, 300-350 will work just fine. Hotter than that is overkill, and … see #2.[UPDATE] Having used this for a few weeks now, it seems like the weak link is the solder wire that comes with this product. Throw that wire away and buy this: Kester Solder 60/40 .062 DIA. 1LB SPOOL. It’s like night and day. My soldered connections no longer look all brittle and crumped up. They are as silvery and full-bodied as Fabio on a tropical photo shoot.

Mt spouse is very satisfied and happy with this product and purchase.

It’s ok, solder is horrible but the design of the gun is cool.
Nice case and I do like the design of the iron, solder is some cheap junk, throw it out! the stand is meh, and for some reason the tip of the precise head just doesn’t get hot enough to melt silver solder. I’m not sure if I had a chance to “try” before you buy, if I would have purchased.

Great Durable Soldering Iron for Price
Great Durable, Easy to Use Soldering Iron! I’ve bought this one a few years ago and it’s still going strong after different jobs of welding pieces of 3D plastic together with one tip at max heat and other jobs of welding wires together with a different tip. Not many bells and whistles other than adjustable temperature and a light inside the case to let you know it’s on.Turn it off when it’s not in use and use a sponge to wet the tip before and every now and then while soldering, and it should last you a decent amount of time for the 10 dollar price at least.

Dead out of the package
Item barely heated up, could hold bare metal in my hands. Then it cooled down and will not heat up again. Appears to no longer be getting power through the switch. Tried multiple outlets. Returning.

I had a smaller 60 W soldering iron that I replaced with this one, it being 80 W. The kit includes a small amount of flux core solder (6 grams), a variety if 6 soldering tips (two of which are the same) and a soldering iron stand. When you press the toggle switch on, it takes about a second before the blue display lights up, showing your set temperature. When using the iron, try to use the lowest temperature possible. Rotate the temperature control up to the next setting if you think you need more heat. You can make quite a mess if you use an iron that is too hot! The iron stand requires care since the power cable is stiff, and may cause the iron to slip off the stand. The temperature control ranges in settings from 200 Degrees C, to 450 Degrees C, in 50 Degrees C steps. Use a larger soldering iron tip if you are working with large soldering surfaces. This is a great little tool as a backup for your regular soldering iron. While it does not provide thermostatic control of the temperature, it can get the job done in a fix. It would be nice if the kit included a carrying bag to keep the parts together. It is priced in the low range of similar soldering irons.

bought this set to work on my remote controlled toys. this means soldering tiny wires to tiny electrical pads. the set comes with a variety of (very easy) exchangeable tips to select for the job.no way to confirm temperature but feels about right. usually keep it around 650F for the standard job.rest of the set is reasonable quality and will likely last for good while. for the more serious/professional applications you are probably better off with a larger/solid soldering station.would buy again
