Good directions and it worked after putting it together
Ok, this was a great “refresher soldering” project for me. I had ordered a Morserino (kit to learn Morse Code) and my soldering skills were very, very rusty. Got this kit and had it working in an hour. The easy part was putting it together. Am still trying to figure out how to set it, correct time, alarms, etc. Bottom line is it is a great kit to learn to solder and/or refresh your soldering skills!!

Easy to build, hard to set
Nice easy to build clock kit. Looks very nice when completed. All SMD components are pre soldered to the board. Was missing 1 capacitor. Luckily I had one in my stock.Big complaint is setting the device up once completed. Only two buttons to preform many tasks. Took 10 times longer to figure out how to set it with the two buttons than it did to build it.

Great soldering project for beginners
I got this for my nephew and I to put together.He did all the work while I ‘supervised’. (It was for him anyways.)The instructions were pretty clear, although it wasn’t apparent at first which side of the circuit board to mount the components on. But we quickly figured it out.The parts were not too crowded together, everything went together as shown in the diagrams.And best of all – it worked perfect the first time we powered it up!We had a great time building this project. You will too.

Time for a Colorful Soldering Project
The DIY project kit arrived in a plain cardboard box. Inside the box were two packages. One package contained the digital clock body, while the other contained all of the components and instructions (a single double-sided sheet).I’m looking forward to working with this kit. It brings me back to the Radio Shack days of lore. Please note that this kit does not include a soldering iron. Successfully completing a project like this always brings with it a sense of satisfaction. Working with a younger person, like a child, can be even more rewarding. I’ve fond memories of working on (in various capacities, depending on my age) projects with my Dad when I was younger.All in all, I’m pleased with this product. It may be unpolished, but as long as the instructions are competent, it includes everything you need (minus the tools) to complete the project. Should my experience with this kit change in the future, I’ll update the review.
