Talk about too long to heat.
In my experience this was not very easy to use because it took a while to heat up. The number on the displayed I don’t feel accurately represented the temperature of the probe. It wasn’t as efficient to decided hoped. I ended up returning this item.

Solder tips are a joke broke all 3 of them first time using it and battery don’t keep it’s charged so constantly always having cable plug in

For cordless and compact, this is not bad
Reading some other reviews, I think expectations might have been too high. Mine were not.I use a variety of soldering tools, from SMT rework stations, hot air, fine soldering tips, even some old fashioned lead plumbing with massive soldering irons back in the day.This is not a high end tool- but my use case for it is for something highly portable that doesn’t require a cord and power supply, for small and remote soldering tasks- for me, that’s mostly on a boat.It’s a good design. For a low price, it performs a task well. It charges easily through USB-C with indicator lights. It heats quickly. I don’t expect it to run a super long time, but I haven’t run it down yet. I suspect it contains a single 18-650 cell, but then it can be recharged off of battery packs, cars, or any other USB-C connection, so that is not much of a limitation. And the compact size with no cord is a plus.It took me a second to figure out that a long press was required to turn it on, but after that it was pretty intuitive. Temperature is digitally displayed. The tips have so far stayed in place for me. It’s not going to have enough power for heavy cables, or even very large wires, but for light duty, portable, and cordless I’m pleased with what it does.

Solid!
I needed a new soldering iron to replace my old harbor freight unit and this one is a huge upgrade.Love the digital display and the fact that its rechargeable.Heats up quickly and battery feels like it last forever. would definitely recommend

Works great sometimes
I let the iron heat up to max temp just to do some testing. It worked great for the 10 minutes I used it for, then it sucked the next time I used it. It was like it was under temperature. I tinned the tip and it worked great again, and then mid-way through soldering it started cold solder. I think the internals just don’t keep the temperature up for long periods despite the outside digital reading. Would give higher rating if it worked great all the time.

Portable
I love the fact that if you have a job that sometimes require you to do a quick soldering job but there is no electricity or access to it, it is battery powered. Just have it charged and use it when you need it. You are no long tied to a electrical outlet when using. The charge lasts around 30 to 35 minutes but if you only need it for a few minutes at a time, turning it on when needed then turning it off after you are done, the charge lasts for a decent amount of time. Since it uses a usb to charge, I have plugged it into a cigarette lighter while traveling between jobs and have used a 20 foot usb cord while charging as it is used. I love the fact I can do either.
