Pretty great kit
I got this kit because my old soldering iron had one of its screws break off, and I couldn’t change the tip out anymore. I had bought it many years ago and it was just time to replace it. I wanted one with a hot air station to make removing pcb components a little easier, as I’m starting to get into that side of repairing electronics. The controls were easy to use, and it’s a very straightforward device. The only thing I had trouble with was changing the temperature to F instead of C, because there was a section in the user manual where there was a line break missing and I was mentally skipping past the section that explained the settings thinking it all applied to the point above.I had seen mention online of some of these kinds of budget stations having issues with not being properly grounded, but when I checked mine with a multimeter everything appeared to be grounded properly. Perhaps I’m missing it, but the only thing I would change about this would be to be able to unplug the heat gun and soldering irons from the base station box. It’d make it a little more portable, and would clear up a little clutter if I was only needing to use one of the two devices.Regardless of that minor tweak I would make, this station works well and I was really surprised at just how fast it is to get up to temperature.

Expensive hot air and soldering station kit
For $90 this is a very expensive hot air and soldering station. I got it mainly because the picture showed it using a transformer. It is very light and there is no transformer (it’s a switching power) The quality is ok. Included are 2 hot air nozzles, 5 soldering iron tips, a sample of solder, a sample of soldering braid, a tweezer, solder sucker. Also included is a very nice solder holder with a sponge and brass cleaner.

Perfect soldering kit for a beginner looking to learn how to solder
This kit comes with everything you need to get started with learning to solder. There are tons of attachments for learning. The main body is a light aluminum casing but quite sturdy for its design. My only complaint is that the gun and iron are attached to the main body and you are not able to remove them. For a beginner this is okay, but an advanced solderer will want to be able to detach these two things. Overall it will make a great gift for a beginner!

A good soldering dtation
A nice soldering station setup. I haven’t used others before so nothing to compare to, but the features you get with this kit is great. Iron heats up quickly and it’s nice that I can use for inserts on 3d printed items.

Pro-grade soldering station
I needed a new soldering iron with stand and came across this unit manufactured in Germany. It’s definitely a pro-level device that generally exceeds my needs but it’s still very nice to have the functionality.Pros:multiple tips for the iron providedIncludes solder and other essentials for quality soldering workVery accurate temp controlHeat gun (on my case I use it for shrink tubing)Cons:Very few though I found the instructions a little opaque, such as how to change read-out from Celsius to Fahrenheit.This is a heavy duty station and as such, it’s not like you can just stick it in your tool box. It’s designed to stay on your bench.Recommended.
