Very Impressive
Bought a less expensive one before and had to send it back due to performance issues. The BAKON 881 2 in 1 has no issues so far. Heat up time is very impressive, plus the fact that you can see the current temperature. Another plus is that you can compensate for temperature deviation between the display and the tip. (requires a temperature probe) I used it a few times and really like it. I have also a Weller 55 for many years in my possession. The solder pen (replaced once before) is working erratically. The reasoning to purchase a new station was the cost of the Weller pen. The pen would cost roughly $50 add another $15 and you’ll have a brand new, even with hot air rework attachment.Long term reliabillity? Only time can tell.

This is a very good unit for the price. Good temperature control on both solder and air gun. Three preset temps for you to set for common tasks. Iron feels really good in the hand. Oh my this is wonderful, soldering power!
A fantastic soldering station for a person who is new to soldering. Heats up quickly. Good value in the accessories that are included. Heavy duty base station. I feel very lucky that such a high quality product is such a low price.

Maybe I should look more into this company.
I did not expect to actually have a far superior set up compared to my old cheaper soldering kit. Cables have been an issue with 2 in 1’s for myself as they would be too stiff. I had not major problems with this setup.Heat up time is adequate the sleep feature was completely new to me and works!Overall a soldering kit to look into if you are beginning to rework devices.

This soldering iron is a great starter kit for your workshop. Thoughtfully included accessories for any soldering task that you might have. The hot air tool is great for shink tubing or softening glue on veneer.

Good Soldering Station, but unusual tips
I purchased this unit because I wanted to start learning to solder. Overall it has been a great staring unit. Easy to use, heats up quickly, and comes with all the additional stuff that you need to get started. The hot air gun works well too for de-soldering mistakes.The thing I wish I had known was that this uses the size 600m soldering tips rather than the much more common 900m tips. This became an issue because I was looking for tips with finer points, but because of the unusual size you can’t find them, when I search I just get the same 6 tip pack that comes in this unit. So its just a limiting factor. Again, good starting kit, just wish they would have used a more common size tip so as I progress I can upgrade.

The soldering station looks good and solid. The main unit, solder handle, and rework handle are quite compact, which is an advantage. Nevertheless, they are quite powerful. Both tools reach the set temperature very quickly. There is a big and informative screen. The massive solder stand holds the solder iron securely. At least for now, everything works well. Let’s see how long it lasts.The description on Amazon contains a few inaccuracies. The hot air gun has a power of 560W, not 650W, as shown in the description picture. But it still has enough power. The solder wire has no label or marking. There is only one layer of the wire on the coil and in any case, you need to buy another solder wire. The additional tips set in the description picture don’t correspond to what is included. In reality, it includes additional: 600M-SK, 600M-B, 600M-K, 600M-3C, and 600M-1.6D soldering tips. But it is also not the issue. There are a few other types of soldering iron tips on the official website. I am going to buy them too.It would be great to have one more nozzle with 10mm diameter. The included ones have quite small diameters.Overall I’m happy with the purchase. The price/quality ratio looks reasonable.
