Good Soldering Station
I am not a master solder by any means, and I learned how to do soldering at a conference. At this conference they had a set up similar to this and when I saw this I got excited. Nothing is better practice than using what is familiar to you. Everything works the same. I also have a separate soldering gun (tool?) that I use and I use the sponge (probably not what it is called) and steel wool while I am soldering projects at home. I use it for hobby work, nothing crazy serious. All in all I am impressed and satisfied.

Heats fast. Complete set. Confusing interface.
This 120W precision soldering station offers a solid set of features for hobbyists and makers, though it falls a bit short in terms of user-friendliness. The large, clear readout for temperature is a definite plus, and the station heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature, which is essential for soldering.The included accessories are a nice touch, providing some basic tools like a solder sucker, wick, solder, and tweezers to get started. However, while basic temperature adjustments are easy enough with the up and down buttons, I found the rest of the interface somewhat confusing. The limited instructions provided didn’t offer much clarity, so I’ve been using the station in its most basic mode for now.Overall, this soldering station performs adequately for my needs, but the less-than-intuitive interface is a drawback. If ease of use is a priority, it might be worth exploring other options on the market that offer a more user-friendly experience. While this station isn’t bad, it doesn’t quite stand out from the crowd.

Temperature presets are the way to go!
I have many soldering stations from expensive to cheap ones and let me tell you this one performs like a very expensive one. The 3 heat memory presets are great when you work with different components. LCD display is nice and the usb port is a nice touch. It does have everything you need to start working with electronics, either for the pro or for the one that juust want to learn, heat is stable and heats up very quick, either way this is a good purchase.

Things to note:1. The user interface for setting temperatures is laughably complicated and almost insultingIf you ever lose the instructions you will never ever figure out how to automatically set the temperature again because it’s very complicated however it’s not necessary you can always just press the up-and-down arrows and choose what temperature you want to operate at for that particular session⦠Maybe a non-issue for some. -1 star.2. If you see H-E that means there’s a heating element error⦠If you do a Google search for that you’re gonna see that it’s a non-serviceable part and you’re gonna see 1000 different things people are saying to do but on this particular model chances are it means the soldering tip is not all the way into the iron. See the video and you’ll see how to fix it. Simple fix -0 stars3. The reason why I had to Google it is because there is absolutely no mention of anything in the instructions. In fact the instructions hardly mention anything about anything other than what type of tips work with the station… for all intents and purposes there are no instructions. -1 star. (And I’m being generous here. It should be -2 because instructions are a part of the manufacturing process. If you can’t even manufacture instructions, which is something the customers WILL SEE, what kind of quality are you doing on parts we can’t see?) 4. Also in the video you will notice a distinct whining sound as soon as I push the tip all the way into the iron⦠Things like that drive me absolutely crazy⦠I am noise sensitive and my quality of life goes down instantly in this particular situation. It appears as though this soldering iron will make that noise anytime it is heating or in useâ¦â¦ I find that just completely unacceptable. -2 stars.4. It includes a lot of extra add-ons like tweezers, solder, a desoldering sucker, soldering wick, pretty much everything but flux⦠anytime a Chinese company does things like that it’s typically because they’re trying to compensate for poor manufacturing hoping that they can still earn a five star review. Not always, but thats certainly been my experience and this appears to be no different.If you don’t mind a whine while working then perhaps you don’t mind not having instructions or a FAQ or something similar… then i would say this might a good purchase for you, but why not go get something cheaper…and better?This item does not get my walrus of approval (i hate seals)In fact, this item does not get even 1 minute on my work bench. The whining is the thing stopping me from even clearing space for it

Nice little soldering station to go with my rework station.
Haven’t done a lot of work with it yet but it’s doing fine so far. It heats up really fast. It has an offset for your temperature to compensate what the real temp is at your soldering tip. For the price you really can’t beat it it has features that higher end and a lot higher priced units have. The digital display is a nice touch and makes it easier to navigate through settings. I’ll update this post if I encounter any issues as I further use the station.

Pro Micro Soldering Kit
Love that this was an entire kit and that I didn’t really need to go buy anything in order to use it. Easy to set up and use. I am a beginner and this was the perfect kit for me to learn off of. Definitely recommend this kit for your beginner as well.
