Works like magic!
I have been fooling around for 2 years trying to fix this busted piece of hood on my tractor. I have used every plastic cement glue known to man kind. Finally after a ton of thought and research I bought this machine. I was like a kid in a candy store. What man doesn’t love heating and melting stuff? It took me back to my old wood burner days. Lol. Well I melted a ton of staples into the piece. Clipped all the tail pieces off and slathered JB Weld on top just as an extra precaution. This job turned out better than I could have hoped for. I have been mowing for 2 months now and the fix is still as good as new. Not long after I fixed the tractor hood our Start Button on our washing machine quit working. I disassembled the control panel and used some staples to “weld” the broken plastic prongs together. It worked wonderfully and saved us $1000 dollars for a new washer because that panel is no long available! So……in closing for $100 dollars I fixed a $700 hood and a $1000 washing machine. Money well spent in my book. Will I ever need it again, who knows? My neighbor wants to “borrow” it to repair his rubber bumper cover on his car, so there is that. Lol Buy it you will be impressed.

Easy to use, works extremely well.
I have repaired an automotive headlamp bezel and the hood of my John Deere tractor using this tool. It works exceptionally well in creating strong and mostly invisible repairs. The tractor hood lists at almost $500 for a replacement, and the headlamp was under $100. Easy math, this tool has saved far more money than it cost. I will likely purchase another as a spare.

Excellent unit if you do a lot of welding
I like the temp control for different plastics and the extra long welding cord is great to reach things even your unit is not that close. The company has an excellent product and they also have great company service. I don’t think you can go wrong with this unit.

What can I say, best way to repair plastic!
If you working with a lot of brokers plastics, that really needed to be fixed, instead of replacing for the new one, sure, go ahead and get one, but as a mechanic my self, I use this only when customers agree to this type of repair, other way I suggest to replace for new item. But this, is the best way and cheap to temporarily fix broken plastic pieces. Totally worth every penny!

Saved Our Garbage Can and Bumper
We purchased the kit to repair a bumper cover torn apart at the bottom. Feeling the need to practice my technique, I decided to start with a repair to our big curbside garbage can that is often tossed by the sanitation professionals, especially in cold weather. This results in multiple fractures to the sides and lid.The repair went well and soon was able to sink the staples just deep enough to secure the plastic pieces. We used a Dremel tool and cutting wheel to file down the sharp staple ends. This is important as it may cause a bad injury if not smoothed and made flush with the plastic surface.One little note… In addition to the front power switch there is a rear on-off switch by the cord.Great tool. Can save the cost of bumper cover replacement, but practice first on your busted trash can.

Absolute must have for plastic repairs
This unit has multiple temperature settings so can be used in a myriad of plastic thickness applications. Iâve buried these wires in 1â thick plastic and repaired plastic as thin as a tote bin lid. A friend watched me use mine and ordered himself one on the spot!

I bought it to do some customizing on fender flares for my truck, works amazingly comes with plenty of the staples and the flat bit works awesome for cleaning everything up and making it look good. Will be using this for anything i possibly can because itâs kinda fun

This plastic welder is everything it says it is. It will fix most basic projects but if you want to get into a major repair, I would likely go with the hot air plastic welder.

For an inexpensive tool it worked great, Came with the standard staples and a decent case. Used about 60 hot staples already in thin and thick plastic and was quite surprised how controllable you can be with the depth with a small amount of practice. Also super fast heat up time on the staples, which takes you by surprise the first couple times. Nice addition to the workshop and should have picked one up years ago.
