Easy use for deboning fish
Living in Alaska for years we have used lots of tools to remove bones from salmon. This tool is the best ever.

Very effective
So far, these are the most effective tool that I have used for removing pin-bones from salmon. In my experience, some of the harder to remove pin bones break off when using the tweezer styles.

The best I know
Very practical. The fish bones are clamped easily, precisely and firmly and do not slip out.

Excellent Pin Bone Remover
Like this kitchen accessory so well I purchased one for a friend that fishes for and freezes a lot of salmon. I have personally used and find it very easy to use and remove bones. Stainless steel makes it easy to clean, too.

I was astonished how much better these were than my needle nose pliers
I wondered whether buying pliers designed for the (previously) onerous task of deboning salmon filets could ease the task. On a similar sockeye filet, my needle nosed pliers (small, stainless, spring loaded, but straight, with grooves on last inch of blades) took almost 10 minutes to remove the 20 pin bones. The Asahi tweezers reduced the job to a couple of minutes. The offset tips and short blades make it very well suited to task, Much easier to clean. NTM food safe ;-). Well worth having.

Handy tool for removing pin bones.
This is a decent little tool for removing those pesky pin bones, but honestly, a good pair of small needle nose pliers, work just as well.

MADE IN CHINA, not made in Japan.
I have fish tweezers but thought this plier version made a lot of sense and when I found these âJapaneseâ pliers, I was excited as Iâm always happy to pay a little extra for Japanese quality kitchen goods. I was a bit concerned with two other reviews that said these were made in China but in the âquestions and answersâ section of the listing, the seller stated that they were made in Japan, so I went ahead and purchased. Sure enough, when I got mine and peeked back the label there it was, âMade in Chinaâ. The quality feels cheap and I am especially annoyed at being deceived by the seller, so these are going back.
