Great plastic welder kit
This is the first plastic welding kit I’ve ever had, so I don’t have others to compare it toBut from my experience this works great,there are a lot of welding joins that are included for various plastic joint angles as well as Metal plates to do large sections to melt or cut plastic,it’s heat output seems to be appropriate and works well and it seems to have a good quality to it and definitely worth the moneyI have used this many times since purchasing it and was glad to have purchased itHighly recommend

Awesome Plastic Welder
I have only used this product seldomly. I do plan on using it to fix my car’s front bumper but for smaller projects that I have used this for, it works amazing. For example, on my protein shaker cup, the lock latch that closes the mouth piece on the lid snapped when it fell (it was a post workout session and I accidentally opened it too strongly).Heartbroken, I thought I would need to purchase another lid … until I remember I had this plastic welder.I was able to staple the broke piece back to the latch and now it can reattach to the lid! This was my first project working with the plastic welder and it was easy to use.The build quality is strong. It heats up fast. It is easy to use. Is there anything more I need to say?My only gripe is that the wire cutter that it comes with is a bit lacking and its use is for more larger, plastic pieces. For smaller things, like cutting off the portions of the staple that stick out, I would use another tool.Other than that, this tool works great and if you consider yourself a DIYer, you should give this tool a try!

Does the job. The spoon attachment smooths out plastic. Wire embedded in joints adds strength.
Positives: Kit had everything needed to immediately make the repairs required. The tool has a LED illuminating the work piece. Pushbutton trigger provides excellent control of the heat.Negatives: Tool gets overheated if pushbutton is held too long. The wire mesh provided has a tendency to break off and leave metal splinters strewn about. (Steel wool or copper mesh is a superior reinforcement)OverallGreat tool to make plastic repairs. Have used many times with success nearly every time now that I had the ability to embed the staples into the plastic material. You’ll get better as you make more repairs and gain experience.

Won’t stay on-seller resolved problem
Works well enough but have to hit it several times in palm or on workbench to get the thing to turn on. I have a project that I simply have to get done so I’m not sending it back, I can limp it through. And the trimming knife they include with the kit breaks in first use, worthless. I would suggest buying a different brand, I know I am. I do like that it comes with several types of plastic welding rods, I’ve already used half the abs plastic and polycarbonate rods.Seller promptly sent replacement unit. Trimming knife again quite fragile, but works. Problem with gun staying on resolved. Have a big project with a farm tractor roof made of polypropylene that will rest durability, we will see how that goes. Kit does not label the type of plastic that is in the large bundles of black and multicolor plastic rods that are provided, however. Edited review to four stars for trimming knife quality and labeling.

Love it!
IMO this is a wonderful tool to have around the house and the shop! Can’t even tell you how many times this has come in handy for repairs. The more I used it, the more I thought of other things on which to use it. Definitely worth the money!

My boyfriend tried several different plastic welder and was dissatisfied with every one of them, until I found him this one. He loves this welder and is always repairing something with it. We definitely recommend this welder, it’s the best. Definitely the best value for your money.

Very effective
Does a great job on mending giant 12 ft skeletons bones. Takes only seconds to become hot enough to melt plastics with ease. Feels very sturdy and built to last.

Great product
My son and husband thought this was great, it helped them weld a break in our industrial gorilla plastic wheelbarrel with no issue, and it holds great! We had bought a plastic welder at Harbor Freight and returned it, after seeing this on amazon and saved about $60.

First time welding plastic But this tool was amazing. The cutter wasnât the greatest had to use my own devices to cut the ends but the tool itself feels like itâs well-built and is a quality product.

This welder replaces one I returned when it quit after very short usage. This one arrived very quickly, has a good sturdy case and did the jobs required of it. So far, so good.
