Excellent
This AFM/DFM program is fantastic does extremely well on my 2007 Avalanche. My only regret is I wished i would have known about these alot sooner. You do not have to spend $200 dollars to get the same quality performance it is well worth the price and you will knowtice a huge difference in the performance of your V8 motor .

This inexpensive disabler is great for the price. Has one flaw though.
I did not want to purchase a cheap disabler for my 2018 Silverado. I wanted to purchase the “Range” disabler for well over $230 because it is supposed to be the best one. Unfortunately or fortunately for me, the “Range” model cannot be shipped to California. What a joke. So I bought this one and it works great. The morning after I received it, I installed it and took it for a 100 mile test run. The elevation where I live is 2700 feet and I drove 50 miles north over 4500 foot mountains and down to around 1500 feet elevation then home. The truck ran great. No hesitation on take off and no shuddering when coming to a stop or very show speed. It stayed in 8 cylinder mode the entire time. My truck has an 8 speed transmission and I used to drive in manual (L-7) and it would stay in V-8 all the time but it ran about 400 RPM’s higher at freeway speed. Now being able to use overdrive, the rpms have dropped so gas mileage should improve also. What a deal! The one flaw is that it will disable your GPS.

It works.
Works like it should. It keeps the truck in full power all the time. No more 4 cylinder mode.

It works!
There were several on the market but this one was very affordable and got good reliability ratings. I went on a 3 week trip and did not unplug it. It did not run my battery down.

Malfunctioned in 2 months
Bought this product to disable the AFM on and 08 Yukon XL. It simply plugs in and it worked great. But within a couple of months the stabilitrack light came on and set code P0300 random/multiple misfire. By the time we limped it back home the vehicle would not restart. I removed the disabler and it started. Test drove the vehicle, no issues. Re installed the disabler and the codes came back this time simply resetting the ecu would not allow me to restart. I had to hard reset the ecu in order to get the vehicle to run. You get what you pay for I guess.

Plug in install
Have not seen a noticable difference in mileage but if the truck is left setting for very long it does seem to put a drain on the battery.

If you have 5.3 with active fuel management, get this
10/17/24 Update: I have had this plugged in continuously in my 2011 Silverado crew cab 4WD with the 5.3 for almost 2 years. My engine has never performed better and my oil usage is now zero. I average between 16.8 and 17.2 miles per gallon.Original post: If you have a 5.3 with active fuel management, you won’t be disappointed. I have now put almost 15,000 miles since installing and couldn’t be happier. I was going thru a half quart of oil every 400 miles, my oil usage has been zero since installing. There is no more hesitation going from 4 to 8 cylinder mode, no more strange ticking. I did go from 16.6 mpg to 16.2 with the afm blocker. To me the benefits outweigh a negligible loss in mpg.
