so far…..pretty good
Seems to function like advertised. Half the price or more than the “name brand” over priced ones. Does not drain battery when not driven. All lights go out on it when ignition is off “on mine”, so I leave it plugged in with zero battery drain. seems to shift smoother and faster and accelerate better. MPG seem same or better so far.TIME WILL TELL. WILL UPDATE after using for a while.

Seems to be working. MNPG went up added bonus.
East to install just plug in. Blue lights light up when the Truck is running. Seems to be working well without a trailer I’m getting about 20.9 MPG. Was getting about 17 before. But I bought it to keep Chevy Silverado 1500 truck from going into the 4 cylinder mode. Per multiple mechanics from Chevy dealers that is what causes the engine to get starved of oil & what causes the the upper tubes in the intake manifold to fail resulting in the whole upper part of my truck to fail at 36000 miles. Seems to be working & the extra MPG is a plus. Time will tell. mine doesn’t seem to have a battery drain problem others mentioned.I’ve had this in my car since September. seems to be working well. no issues with battery drain mentioned by some. Was out of town for a week & the Truck just sat idle. It started right up when I got back. There are blue lights that show its working, no idea if the lights show anything else.

Works great!
Glad I purchased. My XT5 is nice and smooth driving like a Cadillac should. No roughness at light throttle from switching to 4 cyl. No check engine light either. And suspected torque converter shuddering is gone! Was actually the roughness from running in 4 cyl. Easy install. Just plug into OBD socket under dash to right of steering column, about 4 inches back from front of dash. It only plugs in one way. Shaped like a trapezoid. Just match to port socket and insert. Four blue lights will flash, then just one, then light turns off. They have a suggestion to remove it if car sits a lot, but I’ll leave mine in till I see a low battery.

2019 5.3, works well
Showed up quick, simple installation. Purchased to rule out DFM shudder with 8l90 issues. Well, this little $90 unit saved me several hundred dollar transmission service. To my surprise, it also disables the auto start system, which is amazing. No lights on the unit with the truck not running either. Would recommend.

I bought this to address a stabilitrack error I was getting that seemed like it might be related to the AFM issue on 2007 GMC Sierra 1500s. When that error happens, the engine runs really rough and it shifts hard. When I first started using it, it felt like the engine was still riding just as rough, but I wouldn’t see the check engine light or error pop up, and the shifts felt normal. After a while it felt like all the cylinders were banging again, and the truck was running great. I drove it a handful of times, and it felt like it might be a permanent solution. But two rides later, I felt the engine running rough again. Still no stabilitrak error or hard shifts, but it definitely felt like i was down a cylinder. Then I got a new battery and put high octane gas in and the truck has run well in the week or so since. So I think it’s working? I’ll need to pull it and see what happens at some point. Even if it does work, I wish I’d have put the money for this towards a tuner that could shut down AFM for good and also give me performance options.

Disables your AFM and let’s your motor and transmission work more smoothly. It was worth every dime. Hopefully it will extend engine and transmission life.

I bought this dabler for my 2014 gmc sierra with a 5.3l v8. So far it works great! the truck is now shifting smoother because its not having to shift due to afm kivking on or off, and certainly saves wear and dear on the torque converter this way. my gas milage has decreased slightly on the highway as expected, but not ebough to really be an issue(i.e 11.5 liters per 100 kms instead of 10.9 l per 100 km difference), but i’ve noticed something else. my gas milage in-town has vastly improved.The one thing i will warn you as i found out the hard way a couple nights ago in our -40 cold snap in Alberta, you must unplug this module when it gets down below -30 celcius, or it may wreck the module and kill your battery in the process. luckily after mine warmed up for 24 hours, it is working again.
