Does what it’s supposed to do
Fixed a couple of broken trash lids with this. Trash trucks are using hydraulic lifts which beat the heck out of the lids, they won’t take cans without lids and the trash cans cost in the neighborhood of $100, so the cost of this was recouped with one fix. However these small staples will not hold up to this kind of abuse so I also purchased a plastic welding tool and welded some stainless mesh to the breaks for reinforcement, the staples where used to hold everything in place while I used the welding tool. It has been several months and the fixes on two cans are holding up.

Won’t last long
I purchased this plastic welder on May 16th but did not get a chance to use it due to life until just about 3 days ago. When I started using it to melt the included plastic rods with the spatula type attachment it got so hot on the handle area that I could no longer hold it. It was getting hotter than the tip of the machine where it should be at High temperatures. It ceased working and now the project I was working on cannot be completed. Thus thing is dangerous and needs to no longer be sold. I used it in a manner that was certainly not beyond its means. Of course it is beyond the return period and is my paper weight now. Not recommended at all. There is not a method to contact the seller, Amazon has no way to contact them, told me that today. This item is sold under many different names and colors here on Amazon, keep in mind, you get what you pay for with the item.

Works great the first timeâ¦
Seems like this is a single use type of tool. Worked well the first time I needed it, pulled it out just a few minutes ago to use it for the second time and it stops working halfway through the plastic weld⦠time to go buy another I guess ð©
